El Mamito USMC
just look at the way the sprockets go into the case saver and slider... even look how long the case saver is to eliminate the roller and ensure no chain jamming.. and it evens give strength to the shift lever.. El Mamito USMC
and you ask why buy this... heres the reason why... and FROM PERSONNAL experience. I had a case saver on my my first race in Baja , and the chain got stuck, destroyed my rear sprocket and got stuck just like those. it didn't brake the case but it was an incredible PITA to remove to put the new chain and rear sprocket. El Mamito USMC
he also makes cooled block off plates... and heres why BLOCK OFF PLATE WITH COOLING FINS: This part simply works awesome. Think of it like this, when your brake fluid gets hot it expands and has to go somewhere. So it starts to push the caliper piston out. If the brake fluid is hot enough, then the piston pushes the brake pad out so far as to drag it against the rotor creating more heat and wearing the brake pad. Have you noticed when changing brake pads, that the inside brake pad, the one up against the caliper piston, wears twice as fast as the outside pad. In short the proof of it. This part allows for cooling of the brake caliper and fluid. All it needs to do is take just enough heat away so your piston doesn't drag the brake pad against the rotor. El Mamito USMC
Honda 04-05 TRX 450R Rock Ring 4 piece kit or w/out Skid Plate KIT INCLUDES: Case Saver Swing Arm Chain Slide Rear Chain Guide without Skid Plate or Rock Ring Block off Plate with Cooling Fins MSRP $235.00 (First kit in picture.) CASE SAVER: This Case Saver follows the stator cover profile, therefore protecting your case. Also, adds support for the shift shaft to protect for damage in case your foot landed on the shifter so hard as to bend the shift shaft damaging the motor to the extent that it leaks oil. This Case Saver is longer, eliminating your chain roller, so the 8mm bolt can be utilized for added support and strength. SWING ARM CHAIN SLIDE: Offers protection against the chain getting stuck between the front counter sprocket and swing arm, which could break your engine case. REAR CHAIN GUIDE: Helps guides your chain to keep it in-line with the rear sprocket. Most chains come off because the top of your chain is pulled tight from the front counter and all the slack is on the bottom of the chain. The bottom of the chain may then come off the sprocket and start the "chain reaction" that could possibly break your engine case. This chain guide works with most aftermarket linkages and rotor guards. Some rotor guards use the same mounting bolt needed to mount this chain guide, therefore some trimming may need to be done to your rotor guard. ARS, Dirtworks, and Teixeira linkages are the only aftermarket linkages, that I know, this chain guide won’t work with. BLOCK OFF PLATE WITH COOLING FINS: This part simply works awesome. Think of it like this, when your brake fluid gets hot it expands and has to go somewhere. So it starts to push the caliper piston out. If the brake fluid is hot enough, then the piston pushes the brake pad out so far as to drag it against the rotor creating more heat and wearing the brake pad. FITS: 2004-2005 Honda TRX 450R Only compatible with stock swing arm. Please contact me if you have any fitment questions. I appreciate your business. El Mamito USMC
Honda 04-05 TRX 450R 4 Piece Skid Plate Kit KIT INCLUDES: Case Saver Swing Arm Chain Slide Rear Chain Guide with a Skid Plate Block off Plate with Cooling Fins MSRP $200.00 (Second kit in picture.) CASE SAVER: This Case Saver follows the stator cover profile, therefore protecting your case. REAR CHAIN GUIDE: A rear chain guide is the most important part to preventing a chain from coming off in the first place. It goes like this, when you push the throttle then the front counter pulls the top of your chain tight, while putting all the slack on the bottom of the chain and if your chain is loose enough it can easily find its way off the rear sprocket starting the chain reaction that could break your engine case. All that needs to be done is to guide the chain, keeping it in-line with the rear sprocket. It works with Stock, PRM, and Pro Armor skid plates. BLOCK OFF PLATE WITH COOLING FINS: This part simply works awesome. Think of it like this, when your brake fluid gets hot it expands and has to go somewhere. So it starts to push the caliper piston out. CJM
^ Yea I remember that stupid post about it. I have a similar case saver made by moose or upp or whatever (got it off ebay). It isnt as beefy looking and doesnt replace the chain roller but its nice. My quad too suffered from the chain taking the stock case saver out from the previous owner. I had someone weld the case up (No way I was splitting it!) for 100 bucks, I used a dremel and carved up the glob he left, tapped and put the poly saver on. 1 Quote 04R work in progress
