I'll stick to Gambino's "Works Philly". It's literally the best Philly cheesesteak that I've ever had, and I have tried Philly's all over the place. (Unfortunately that doesn's include Philadelphia, even though I tried to get one of my ex-wifes friends to send me one from there).

The Gambino Philly's are good as long as the right person is working the grill. But the beef is not strip steak pieces like an authentic one is.

 

And I noticed that his recipe calls for the following :

 

 

24oz thin sliced rib eye or eye roll steak

 

 

6 table spoons of Soya bean oil

 

 

Cheese {we recommend Cheez Whiz

Philly is full of rude bastards.

 

However if you want a Philly style cheesesteak, go to either Pat's or Geno's. They have one of the biggest cheesesteak rivalries I know since they are right across the street from one another.

When I eat steak, I will not disgrace it by stuffing it in two pieces of bread. I like my steak in NY Strip or Prime Rib form and slightly rare... no seasoning or steak sauce.

 

Ham belongs on bread, steak goes straight to the plate. Uh-rah!
