OK, first off, I'd like to point out, we all bitch about 'britney this' 'smith that' but then we turn around and watch the news about them on tv, which gives better ratings, and that signals to the media to put them on more.

 

We may hate them, but all were doing is making them more famous...

 

 

 

 

 

ALSO! the main point of this rant...

 

I see lots of celebs talking about the war and about how they think the military needs to pull out right now, and they want peace, and the soldiers are blind and stupid to be following their leaders, the president is screwing up the country, we are hated by the world, etc...

 

BUT, they have never had to fight for anything in their life, they have nothing they are convicted to enough to understand a leader/follower relationship, they don't understand politics, they have never seen war or hardship first hand, and they don't believe in the good of the nation enough to actually do anything for it. so i ask you, where do they get off thinking they know whats best? what gives them the right to figuratively spit on the soldiers who know more about being men/women, or human for that matter, than they will ever know?

 

they scream "WE NEED TO PULL OUT OF IRAQ NOW, WE WANT PEACE!!!!!"

 

OK captain genius, lets play president.

 

Q:what happens when you pull out?

A: the area becomes a full-time un-opposed terror training site.

 

Q: what do you (a celeb) do about that?

A: use diplomacy, talk talk and talk more

 

Q: that failed (no shit right?) now they are threatening American soil, what do you do?

A: impose sanctions on iraq hurting the people but doing nothing to the drug-funded terror economy

 

Q: the terror organizations have used the sanctions you imposed as proof you don't care for the people of the middle east and now have several thousand more members, what do you do?

Q: everything you have given 'to the people' was taken by the terrorists and they are now much stronger, they attack America and kill thousands. what do you say to the American people?

Not to mention every thread created to rant about them adds one more search result on google.

 

Turning off the television every once in awhile also works wonders.

 

And while I agree with you that most celebrities are dumber than a bag of rocks, there are a few notable exceptions. Bono comes to mind, although I personally don't give enough of a shit about Africa to want to end poverty there (oh well), you can't deny that he's pretty much spear headed a campaign to get something done. The old guitarist from Rage is pretty intelligent..who else...Harry Bellafonte, Jim Marcus..and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't one of you Republicans favorite presidents a celebrity before elected?

The only things most celebs know is how much money is in their bank account and how much attention they need.

Celebs have no business being liberals! They grab money like capitalist pigs, they spend it on mansions, cars, once-a-week vacations and EXPENSIVE CLOTHING THAT'S MADE IN SWEATSHOPS. Things most liberals are repulsed by. They make and star in movies/music/etc that THE DEMOCRAT PARTY WANTS TO CENSOR, and not to mention those "really extreme" liberal types (ie: communists and socialists) DESPISE RICH PEOPLE especially ones who got rich by playing "let's pretend" and "dress up" for a living. GET IT!? LIBERALS WANT NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEE CELEBRITIES DIE! Why someone would support a political party that lives to destroy their fancy lifestyles that they enjoy the shit out of is beyond rational thought.

 

As far as the war is concerned, the problems that I have is that the opinions of these performing monkeys seems to be more validated than any other opinion out there, as opposed to those of soldiers, officers and politicians who directly deal with it. (Yes, as much as I think Bush is a dumbass/loose cannon hybrid, I have more respect for his views than these fucking clowns) My other problem is that if this war is about oil (a popular theory amongst celebrity liberals), CELEBRITIES ARE CONTRIBUTING TO IT WITH THEIR GARAGES FULL OF GAS GUZZLERS AND THEIR CONSTANT JETTING AROUND.

I completely agree. Loud-mouthed anti-war celebreties are one of my biggest pet peeves. American soldiers need to get together in a televised conference to pick apart movies and the acting of liberal celebrities. Then the actors would bitch, "What do you know about our work?" Exactly.
