Ranking forum posters

I'm thinking something like keeping Pissed to The max for 100 or more, as well as slightly pissed, but then adding the fuctionality to the Moderators to change rank according to the posters relevance / post ratio.

 

Kind of a way of letting other posters know the guy who just posted the coming message is probably a dipshit in the first place and not worth a response.

 

Pee On, and Piss Head, come to mind, as well as any other "PISS" word that would relate to the key word "PISS" in the web site.

Create a list of ranks that you want. Once that happens I'll create a new usergroup for each.

Oh and another thing, how do we move them to another group?

 

i've logged into the control panel and saw adjustment settings and different groups, but the only option I have to change are there signature,avatar,and profile picture.

 

I can change other aspects, but have nowhere to save the settings.

Click the profile link. In the top right hand corner you'll see the place to do it.

This is all I see on my screen, like I said, I can change the options, but I see no SAVE CHANGES button.

Second screen shot. See the usergroup dropdown in the upper right hand corner. You should be able to move them into the banned or idiots group.

OK. I just added a test account and gave that account mod privs. I was able to move a user to the idiot group and back to his normal group.

If you can't let me know. I'll change the Idiot group to a banned group with same permissions it has now and then you'll be able to use the ban user link to vhange the group.

If you want me to create more groups let me know name of group and title to use for the group.

OK. I see what I have to do. I assume you want to put someone in the idiot group. I'll make that group a banned group. You'll then be able to use the ban option and place them in the group.

The idiot group has the same permissions that the registered group does except members of that group can't start threads. they can only reply to existing threads.

If you want to add more groups like the idiot group put together a list including what you want the title to be for the group. I'll add the groups.

It's done. Use the ban link in modcp. In the dropdown select the group you want to put them in and how long you want to keep them in it.
