Hello to all members, my name is Richard

I write, post and attempt to persuade people on various chat boards and forums frequently and I guess the first and foremost thing I am PISSED OFF at are "Armchair Quarterbacks" who spout out blame about all sorts of complaints yet,

never once offer an alternative answer to solving the problem or getting up and actually getting their hands dirty !

For the last year I have spent a great deal of time @ http://www.ummah.com/forum/

where Islam is the rule and Muslims speak about Islam being the only way of life which should be put into practice worldwide.

The thing is, most of these folks live in comfy ole England & America ;)

They speak of how good the world would be if only we would live as the Last Prophet, Mohammad did during his lifetime.

They actually believe we should roll back time and live as if the 14th century returned.

Yet they sit in their comfy chairs at their cushy jobs in their FREE societies and dream of these things

rather than putting on their walking sandals and beginning the journey toward the promise land.

Hmm? :D I think that should introduce me to the group

You and (Mohammed Rots In Hell) are going to get along swimingly! However, (Allah Is Great) and you are probably not going to see "Eye to Eye" on much.

Welcome to GF!

.

I put no stock in religion. By the word "religion" I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god. I have seen too much "religion" in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness.

(Allah Is Great) is a true statement.

It is a simple pity that most Muslims do not seek Allah but, only to instill a society dictated by Islamic principles.

i.e. - Sharia Law

Then again, you and AIG might have some good discussions. She is a Somalian Muslim living in England.

She's a fairly prolific writer here. Go discuss amongst yourselves... :)

That might become a pleasure, thank you.

Where might your condition/disposition fall ?

I have only been checking out a local forum until now (that would be in Nebraska), and I don't post often but I will if I feel strongly enough about a topic. I also don't get pissed off much but it does happen.

I look forward to reading views and opinions from everyone.

Oh yea, one thing that will piss me off is someone wasting my time by posting some stupid crap without a point and trying to cram their religion down my throat. I respect everyones rights to their beliefs but don't preach just to preach, for God's sake have a point.

Umm...male, middle aged, happy, healthy, great cook, devoted dad, card carrying agnostic, (but I loved JP II the human being), newly promoted Mod, respectful debater, jocular kidder, and horribly evil and wicked asshole from hell when deliberately provoked. Other than that, just a nice guy.

As to my religious view...it's all very clear in my signature under my posts.

Welcome but you'll need to thicken your skin a little if your going to survive around here.

Hell, it won't be too long and Hugo will be extolling the virtues of Goombahism to you and trying to convert you! :D

As to points, well most people here have them, but they keep trying to ram them up other people's asses, and down their throats and this unfortunately is marginally successful, albeit often times entertaining. muches more popcorn

Thank you for the Welcome from both Mods.

My avatar...Tell me, how can ANYBODY not love that moment in time when the leader of the largest and most powerful religion in the world, was supremely human?

A woman whom I called Aunt as a child, (actually a second cousin to my grandmother) was one of Pope John Paul's women helpers

during his time living in Poland prior to becoming Pope. (washing clothes, cooking, cleaning house, etc..)

She told us that he was truly very human and down to earth,

unlike a person who should have been placed in the role over such an organization as the Catholic church.

Then again, the personage whom the entire religion purports to represent was also "truly very human and down to earth" and

I'm quite sure would not be happy with the organization which uses his name today.

Because I just feel as if I have to treat you like my own kid. You are closer to her age than mine LOL. I feel like giving you a time out and washing your mouth out with soap. I can't "argue" with you. Parents don't "argue" they just tell you what to do and at your age you do it LOL I am at a loss. Are you even in HS yet? Hell I can't remember what grade I was in at 13. I am conduzzled.

I believe most 13 year olds are in 8th grade. You were probably in 3rd.

Dear Hugo & tizz ,

I am new around here so, perhaps the two of you are akin to the old radio show "The Bickersons".

If I am wrong in this assessment, I provide the quote below for your review and digest.

Do not make the mistake of the foolish carpenter who wastes valuable time squaring, measuring, and smoothing

his worm-eaten and inwardly rotting timber and then, when he has thus bestowed all of his labor upon the unsound beam,

must reject it as unfit to enter into the foundations of the building which he would construct to withstand

the assaults of time and storm.

Actually Hugo has only recently saught me out like this. I have my suspicions here but will play along for now :p
