Ruse Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Something I thought should be considered by "nut-jobs" everywhere. An aquaintance asked me a few minutes ago what I thought of Bush. "Do you tend to like Bush? I really do not no what this is, but I was wondered if you would like to see it: http://www.frontsteps.com/films/1001/138/index.php?t=1113964592 I thought about this, and replied: No, I tend to not like Bush, but I don't hate him. I mean, everyone is entitled to their opinion. It's not like you can flame someone into submission, so there isn't a point on ranting about it. -shrug- I generally don't like corporate politicans, because it seems like they don't have any personality. I don't like who they try to be, more like. If I knew them personally, I'm sure that I'd begin to appreciate them, but they're not there for that; they're there to create their ideal society based on what they think is best for a community. Looking over this, I realize this has some sense in it: You can't flame a politician into being on the 'extinct' list. There's no point. You just lose credibility that way, and makes you look like a bully and a whiner. And, why does everyone hate the person personally for their politics? I mean, hate their politics, not the person. But, I find so many people just... have absolutely no sense for another person's humanity. I dislike Bush, I dislike his mannerisms, etc., but I can't hate him based on what he is to millions of people. It's like the "bad teacher" at New Tech. Of course, he's annoying, and his teaching ways aren't our favorite, and I myself don't treat him with the best respects sometimes, but I just feel pity for him when students antagonize him just to get a laugh, or because they have nothing else to do, and they invade his personal space. Poor guy. So, what I have to say about Bush, even though I myself do not like him: Poor guy. Same with religion. People say 'Mohammed should rot in hell' (this is not aimed at the WYPO member) without even knowing what they're talking about. I'm sick of people thinking that their way is the only way. I'm sick of people thinking that they are superior to other races, religions, and classes. Just because you have a different opinion doesn't mean you're right. Any other thoughts on this? Quote Invictus maneo. O imitarores, servum pecus! You make me wish I could lose half of my brains just so I can say I appreciated what you just said. ToriAllen Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 I would not have the opinions I have if I did not think that were right. Saying to hate someone Quote Smart men learn from their own mistakes; Wise men learn from others. I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.

ToriAllen Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 You don't want people to discuss disease when you bring it up? What the h-ll does that have to do with anything? snafu Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Reason Yes I think that’s why his stance is what it is. Reason and Reasoning. Reason: Saddam did not comply with U.N. resolutions. Reason: Saddam was a mass murder. Reason: We know he had at least short and long range missiles he was supposed to get rid of. It's documented He also had other WMD'S. One day we will find them but hopefully not in the form of shrapnel. Reason: Insurgents flocked to fight us in Iraq. Which is a good thing. People sure would be bitching otherwise. Reason: Iran is a threat. We need someone with balls. NOW! Reason: N Korea is a threat. We still need them big balls.. Reason: Our boarders... Okay he's fucking up here. All of our presidents have had their advisories. And war is not popular. We went in for the right reason. Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
jokersarewild Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Reason: We know Had at least short and long range missiles he was supposed to get rid of. I know he's so dange...oh, wait, we have those. Does that mean we should invade ourselves, impose a new form of government, and pretend it will go peacefully, and get everyone mad at you when we have a civil war? It's documented He also had other WMD'S. One day we will find them but hopefully not by the shrapnel. Yes. He had those WMDs that we also fou...wait, no we didn't. Let me guess, you want to believe it, thus it's true? Snafu, this is why you don't automatically agree with everything your political party does. Because, at times, they're wrong. You look at Bush from the standpoint that a four year old does his mother: He can do no wrong. Those in the middle, or slightly left, and even slightly right, look at Bust from the eyes of an teen/adult: You realize that he isn't perfect, he makes mistakes, but ultimately, in a time of need, he tries to do something he thinks is right, when in all reality he fails miserably. He's like the dad who left and is just now trying to make up for it, but can't. Reason: Iran is a threat. We need someone with balls. NOW! You know what else is a threat to our national security? Your president. He's not my president. He's the asshole that someone voted for (the second time) to put in a cool looking house to sign papers that don't generally affect me in ways I can immediately know about. Of course Iran is a threat. They'll probably eventually get theirs. All of our presidents have had their advisories. And war is not popular. We went in for the right reason. Yeah, "right" as in "right wing". Quote RoyalOrleans is my real dad!
eddo Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 your friend was just asking if you shave your genitals. Way to make everything into a political debate... dumbass Quote I'm trusted by more women.
