Ranking system

My idea on a new ranking system/interface would be to KEEP the web page up and open to the entire public, but place the BBS interface into a download app that not only will merge with the ranking system of the open page, but will act as a secret vote so to speak where viewers must VOTE FIRST before continuing to the next comment in a post based on post substance, this would UNLOCK the proceeding post and reveal the identity of the poster they had just rated.

 

This would mean turning identitys of WEB VIEW posters invisible to the general public.

 

My question is, do you think this is a feasible answer on how to RANK these guys ??, and eventually give us the ability to let members CHOOSE there level of intelligence in a post.

 

And LAST...IS IT POSSIBLE ??

Not with php. I could probably accomplish this with C# or vb.net, but, then I would have to convert the whole forum to asp.net and mssql something I have been thinking about doing. I'm also looking into going Java running on Tomcat although I haven't touched any Java code in a while and I'm a bit rusty.

I have bits and peices of code that I work on whenever I get a chance and I can't find time to finish it. The db layer is done as is the conversion controls. About 30% of the forum code for the dlls are done. Just have to find time to finish it. Once the main package is done and we are converted I can then start on the variuos webapps and controls.
