Silver_dragon87 Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Ah, you poor dear. You've got your head so far up your ass you can check yourself for colon cancer. Before you make an attempt to sound intelligent, you should make sure you know what all your words mean--or take a grammar lesson or two; I'm not sure what exactly the problem is, but let me let you in on a little secret. Listen close, hon. The only people who can get away with using pretentious words, such as dwindle and reiterate--when used in excess--are people who can write fluently. Who sound, you know, like English is actually their first language. Your writing is awkward and stilted, and it just looks terrible. (As a writer, I notice this, and so I feel that I should point it out. Work on it; you come off as robotic, stale, and pretentious.) I used the word affronted because it's one of my favourites; it says a lot in one little word. Much like touch Quote Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon. ParasiteGod Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 You know, SD, I dont think it makes you any better than Ruse that you've managed to boil this down to bitching about what words she uses... sure she used reiterate wrong, twice. Oh well. I'm fucking tired of people turning ?meaningful? debates into wars on who can articulate better. Quote I want to report a double murder. angie Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 SD is just on a power trip because she found someone younger than her to pick on. for one thing I am almost a legal adult. You're still a teenie bopper--of the age where a 'marry me so-and-so' shirt is still considered acceptable Funny how she didn't want HER age brought up, and now she's picking on someone younger than her. Ruse Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I now have a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach that comes when I have read something throughly unsettling. I don't even think I'll have the grace today to dignify her gropings with a decent response. It's not worth my time. As my lovely Canadian friend David says, you just can't debate with someone who is stupid, and stubborn. I stop debating when the stabs are in bad taste, and below the belt. Ah, well. Silver_dragon87 Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 I already addressed the issue of age, people, because I'm aware that it sounds like I'm being a hypocrit. You might think so, and maybe it's actually true, but I don't believe it. There's a difference between people using age as an excuse and people telling pretentious teenie bopper bitches to shove it up their asses; I'm only a month shy of a legal adult. This kid's still jumping up and down at N'Sync concerts--or whatever the hell ditzy teens listen to. Ruse, I never asked to be 'graced' with your oh-so-dignified response. This is my thread, bitch. (ala 'my hood') See, it has my name right in the title. It's possessive, too. That, and it's a long-dead thread so maybe leave it be; I had nothing more to say. At any rate, any time that you don't reply is a blessing, so thanks. Quote Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon. Now, let's make it loud, let's show 'em all how you move to this phenomenon. GrayGal Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 so ur a month sigh of being 18...you do realize teen is still attached to your AGE for 2 more yrs and um...just because your legal to buy cigarettes doesnt make you "all grown up" And yes i think we all think you were being a hypocrite Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/bf579d790688a5b6ce4acac92ae0b3e3.jpg Gray~Gal ..... Silver_dragon87 Posted September 7, 2005 Author Posted September 7, 2005 In the eyes of the law, I'll be an adult. That counts for something. I'm not saying children shouldn't have their voice, but I think they don't get to act like they know everything until they're at least 16. Sweet 16 is when you become an actual teenager. Teenie-boppers get my ear, but unlike anyone older, they don't immediately get my respect. Everyone has their shot, but I'm afraid that I DO seem to have a bottom line for what age group I really listen to. The fact that I think not listening to someone when the law says they're an adult and therefore an equal is unfair and a bit pig-headed doesn't make me a hypocrit. Or maybe when you become a legal adult, you join the blind masses and lose respect for the teenies. Who knows. Quote Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon. Or maybe when you become a legal adult, you join the blind masses and lose respect for the teenies. Who knows. The eyes of the law don't account for maturity. Which, quite frankly, IMO, you are lacking. I have had more intelligent mature conversations with my 15 year old brother. And I respect HIS opinion a hell of a lot more than your sorry hypocritical ass. Hell, I have had better conversations with the 3 year olds at work. Turning 18 doesn't suddenly make you an adult. Only expirience and attitude do. It doesn't mean that today, I don't listen to you, but tomorrow-well, gee, you're 18 now, you're an adult, I should automatically regard your opinion with more respect than your 15 year old counterparts. That arguement is completely baseless, and once you realize that age TRULY is nothing but a number, you will realize that your nearing 18th birthday is nothing more than a pathetic excuse for you to put another level underneath your pedastal. Silver_dragon87 Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 On the contrary, I am merely arguing that the people who say they have no reason to listen to me because I am still a child can have no more to say on the issue because by the laws of the country, I will be their equal. As for your lack of enlightening conversation, you must be reading the wrong threads. As I expected, my attempts at serious philisophical debate here died immediately and are rotting in the sun. This is not where I come to discuss those matters, and therefore you will not see the truly philisophical side of SD here very often. This is where I come when I'm pissed and I want to unload some rage. Only a few whom I know can be.......trusted will be invited to join in online philisophical (let's see how many times we can use that in one paragraph) debates, so obviously I'm not going to find most of them here . And finally, I may not have much experience and I may have lived a somewhat sheltered life for a while, but I am certainly not immature. I, in fact, find it childish that people think so just because they don't agree with what I have to say. Quote Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon.
