Instead of arguing a law meant to protect children from sexual PREDATORS, why not argue the velidity of lableling people like your friend sexual offenders and putting them into the same catagory as violent sexual offenders ect... In this country, if oyu break the law, you must be able to accept that you may have certain privelages revoked (keep in mind the difference between what is a given right to ALL people and what is an earned privelage).

 

I didn't go that route because retarted states like Florida do not have that option. Florida is completely blind to the fact that thier ridiculous, unconstitutional law is unfairly punshing people. They know this and they do not care. This is one of those laws that is good in theory, but not in practice.

 

The governing body that passed this law needs to be forcibly removed from office. Their willingness to ignore the United States Constitution is unacceptable. Limiting access to chruches is UNCONCIONABLE and UNFORGIVEABLE.

 

If they are not able to pass laws that are constitutional, they don't need to be passing laws at all.

 

Laws in general do not differentiate between who is a threat and who is not. They tend to group by class. This has the effect of hurting innocent people.

 

This was one of the major problems with domestic violence laws congress created in the mid 90s. Class grouping and broad, never-ending scopes, had the effect of costing good people thier jobs. A number of good police officers lost thier jobs over things that happend 15 to 20 years, before that statue was passed. This is both unforgiveable and totally unecessary.

 

Until a law can be made, which adequately addresses EACH SEPERATE OFFENDER in a manner commensurate with the crime he commited and has been succsessfully limited by law (meaning that it expires after a given number of years); THEN AND ONLY THEN can these types of laws be considered.

 

Regarding the Osceloa, Florida's illegal limiting of access to churches, I find this to be unconstitutional, and totally unacceptable. No law can be made, which mandates actions, consequences, or other requirements that are forbidden by the United States Constitution. For this reason, on it's face, the law in question must be stricken.

My parents drug me to church until I was 16, we always had to get in the car and drive, we never lived close enough to walk, we always felt we had freedom to practice religion.

My 8 year old daughters rights to grow up untouched by sick bastards like this should outweigh their rights to anything.

My daughter and I live alone in a nice neighborhood. We have a security system however with the rising concerns about cases like BTK and other peadophiles, I have been thinking of getting a gun. How else would I stop someone like this from harming her? I am not in the physical shape to force him myself. I shouldn't be put in that position.

A boy in our area was given a camera cell phone by his parents, one day as he was walking to school, (his parents let him walk a couple of blocks to school) a peadophile tried to pick him up, he took his picture and the peadophile (who was registered) was picked up and violated back to jail. Do I really have to get my 8 year old a camera cell phone in order for her to be protected? Let me also say that I would NEVER let my daughter walk or ride her bike to schoool, it was hard enough for me to let her take the bus. How about one of those GPS watches so I can track her via my home computer?? I shouldn't have to do that but what else are parents left to when the state can't control these bastards?

You should be finding sources to back up the idea of seperating non violent sex crimes from violent ones and alowing those accused of harrassment and statutory rape to reopen their cases and have their nemes removed from any lists (especially in cases where the accusor agrees to it) There are DEFINATELY precidents to be found for that. As for violent sex criminals, they are not only more dangerous but also a lot more likely to repeat their crimes and should therefore be considered a constant threat to society.

i try to just put spiders and such on paper sheets and throw them out the door, they annoy me but i see no real reason to kill them (unless its just too much trouble then they go flat) and guns are fun to shoot at targets, its just more fun to see a bowling pin go spinning through the air or be vaporised

When you really think about it the U.S. Constitution is a contract between the government and the people. It is a contract for which the freedoms it delivers where paid for in blood. Giving up these rights in such a foolish manner is quite literally a slap across the face of every solider, militiaman, minuteman, or common farmer who has ever died in defense of this country. The Constitution mandates which rights go and which stay.

 

Felons do not lose thier 1st Amendment rights, but most lose thier 2nd Amendment rights, as well as the right to vote (I do not remember which Amendment this falls under) however, they can petition the court and have their right to vote restored.
