tizz Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 When you work 9 hours a week and a bitch is telling you that it is your fault people are leaving (because you needed too many hours) only becuase she doesn't want to open on the one day of the week you told the owner you are unable to open (I told her in MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!) So f k them, I am getting paid nothing and taking on all the resposibitilty. Not even a thanx, just bullshit. this has been going on for a year and the only reasons i have stayed are because I don't want to change my daughter's school (she hates it there anyway) the people I work with (whom I no longer work with I am left only with the people I can't stand!!!! Plus i get to watch them train new people ARG that's all I need more of them!!!!!) and the kids. though I feel bad leaving the kids I just can't use them to justify staying anymore. Let me just say that if you have a child in Day Care, make sure the people who actually watch your children are qualified and actually give a shit about your kid's welfare and that these people are not going to take it out on your kid if they don't like you. Screw the owner, pay attention to who actually works there and keep in mind they are not getting paid CRAP no matter what YOU pay. It is not what you pay for here, it's what the people working there get paid that is what you get!!!!!!!! f k I only need the job for one more year but I really can't stay and keep any level of sainty for an entire year!!!!!! f k it. Out ot find a new job tomorrow and perhaps take the rest of the month off. I can actually feel my blood pressure rising right now!!!!!! I used to absolutely love every little thing about this job, and right now I really don't give a shit about it. That is what most tells me it is time to move on. I cannot live with myself, working with children and not caring about my job (don't get me wrong I care about the kids but not the job or the peope I work with!@!! Chairman Mao Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 No, it's the lack of paragraphing like i said before. -please try to keep up Quote
sovikolp Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 No, it's the lack of paragraphing like i said before. -please try to keep up no. like i said, it's the background. it's already proven on the effect of the white lettering on the black background by institute of human ergonomics back in 1976. if this was in a different format, you'll have better time reading it without having your eyes zoom in and out and vibrate. tizz Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 Sorry Moa. I actually typed that up the day I wrote my resignation and copied it off another site for here (still trying to catch up those 12k posts) I will try to remember paragraphing for ya Quote "An intelligence that is not humane is the most dangerous thing in the world" Ashley Montague "No one should have to walk alone" Phuong Du "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind" Ghandi "If I were asked to define an American in a single phrase, I would say 'An American is a person who has the right to be different' and I think that right is growing" William Manchester
Lethalfind Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Tizz, I feel for you. I had a job ( I told you all about it in the thread about the worst jobs) for 3 years, I felt my sanity skipping away. I was fuckin thrilled when they laid me off. I was able to kick back in the sun and draw unemployment. I got another job and then got fired from there because this bastard that was one of the sales reps liked to rake on the white girls in the office, if you were black like him you could fall asleep on the job and it was all good with him but if you were white or hispanic then no matter how good you were he would treat you like shit on the bottom of his shoe. I had enough one day, I told him nicely that if he was unhappy with my performance he needed to speak with my supervisor, he told me he didn't want to and kept yelling at me, I told him again and hung up on him. I was fired the same day. I was so releived !!! Probably not the normal reaction to getting fired but there it is. NOW I am enrolled in school to get my nursing degree. Here in Florida, hospitals are begging for nurses, paying huge amounts of money if you will work strange shifts. The bad jobs have lead me down a path to making a good decision for mine and my daughters future. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
tizz Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Because I work with young children it was extremely hard to leave them (I believe that consistancy in care is extremely important) but i had allready justified staying the last six months with that and just couldn't do it anymore. I still feel bad and actually had to deal with a few crying parents but I just wasn't able to do the job to my own standards anymore considering the people I had to work with and how they treated teh job and the children. It was tough but it was the right call for me. I will get back into it as soon as my step father is out of the hospital Quote "An intelligence that is not humane is the most dangerous thing in the world" Ashley Montague "No one should have to walk alone" Phuong Du "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind" Ghandi "If I were asked to define an American in a single phrase, I would say 'An American is a person who has the right to be different' and I think that right is growing" William Manchester
sovikolp Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 quitting takes all your gov benefits away, but really if you're not happy with it, fuck em, it's good you're out going toward where you want your life to go. I'm in the same boat as most of you, but really i think it's my personality that i can't work for people, even thought all the jobs, my bosses were very nice to me. I do regret quitting my last job, because I was going up in the ladder very quickly and making good money. But the politics were shit. But I've learned something from it. You can't argue with how the CEO runs his company, even you think it's wrong or is wrong. Quote
tizz Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 I have no intention of collecting right now as I am working for my mom (and getting paid) and in a year my daughter starts kindergarten and that is when I want to take advantage of unemployment services and the classes they offer so I can get a better job once I have more hours available to work Quote "An intelligence that is not humane is the most dangerous thing in the world" Ashley Montague "No one should have to walk alone" Phuong Du "An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind" Ghandi "If I were asked to define an American in a single phrase, I would say 'An American is a person who has the right to be different' and I think that right is growing" William Manchester
