Hugh G. Rekshun Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 It seems like every time I am surfing around the tube to find an educational and worthwhile show to watch it never fails but to get the continual barrage of these fucking chopper building shows. Enough is enough already!! It is bad enough that the network is playing continual repeats of the Teutul's "American Chopper" series but there are plenty of other wannabe's trying to cash in on the show's fame. Yes, Paul sr. & jr and the rest of the blowhard retards do have some great creativity and I am sure if I had the working capital that these boys get doled out I could be pretty Goddamn creative myself. But I am just fed up with the fact that there is just too many programs devoted to these lame-ass biker shows. I love to ride and I have for years as well as raced semi-professionally and am an AMA lifetime member but I won't be dumping my hard-earned green on any of these overrated and overpriced pieces of unoriginal and obnoxiously loud shit anytime soon. Heres but a brief list of some of the shows and features that have appeared recently: CBS Sunday Morning "High Gear" Quote "May you sit naked in Hell for all eternity with your tender rectum resting squarely upon the sharp end of a red hot barbed stalagmite, all the while you are tormented forever by hideous demons who force you to listen to endless Barry Manilow and Elton John duets of Ashlee Simpson's greatest hits, let this fate befall all those who so much as plagiarize one single word from my work"
RoyalOrleans Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I totally concur, Hugh. It's almost like the networks are at a loss for programming so they bring in consultants who rip on other rip-offs. Television is horrible, but I own three and can't seem to live without it. Quote To be the Man, you've got to beat the Man. - Ric Flair Everybody knows I'm known for dropping science.
Hugh G. Rekshun Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 I love bikes and I even go to shows but I mean, c'mon! How many iterrations of a fucking chopper can there be? I love those dirtbags trying to ride their panhead hardtail with the 9-foot "ape hangers"! I damn dear piss myself when I see their feeble attempts to negotiate a simple turn onto the hiway!! Quote "May you sit naked in Hell for all eternity with your tender rectum resting squarely upon the sharp end of a red hot barbed stalagmite, all the while you are tormented forever by hideous demons who force you to listen to endless Barry Manilow and Elton John duets of Ashlee Simpson's greatest hits, let this fate befall all those who so much as plagiarize one single word from my work"
RoyalOrleans Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 What's funny to me are these hardasses that attempt to be camera-friendly, read a teleprompter, and work on his bike. Any redblooded american curses every time they take a wrench to their bike. For me, a day in the yard or under the hood is not complete without several curse words, a case of beer, and a pack of cigs. Emeril, Law and Order, random shows on the Disc. Channel (I LOVE SHARK WEEK) and baseball are about it. The repetetiveness is getting a tad irritating. I watch OCC occasionally but mostly because I like to watch Paul Sr. yell at the kids. I love biker guys. Actually had it on last night, and he went on a rampage and it was "Jesus BLEEP Christ this place is BLEEP disgusting! You guys are so BLEEP lazy!" That was fun! RoyalOrleans Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I watched a repeat of Law and Order: SVU last night. I find Mariska Hargitay intoxicating. Quote To be the Man, you've got to beat the Man. - Ric Flair Everybody knows I'm known for dropping science.

Komrade Vostok Hazard Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 They have the crappy chopper shows because the dipshits who run the networks are either trying to cash in on American Chopper, or they think biker shows will create some badboy image that will sucker in ratings. I guess it's all a rip off from all the other shitty greaser TV shows like pimp my ride and all that other shit. Or maybe the reality shows craze is getting long in the tooth and greaser bullshit is the new fad. But yea, TV isn't much good for anything other than destroying unneeded brain cells, or an idiotic diversion during a late-night toking session. Quote All bullshit, No Business.

Outlaw2747 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 This kinda reminds me of the "Robot Wars/Battlebots" craze that happened a few years back. There were numerous programs that tried to compete for the best remote control destructobot show on TV. At least those were unique and interesting. I DO NOT see anything too special about a bunch of motorized leather-wearing showboats with overrated bikes. That's just me, everyone has a preference. sovikolp Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 Are we all on agreement when we say, fuck the reality shows? I stop watching TV when they started doing the reality TV. it's not only stupid, but not entertaining at all. What's the point watching people without talent bitching at each other for 30minutes when I could go outside and get the uncensored version for free? Quote
Kryptonite Man Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I don't watch much television after the morons cancelled "Star Trek: Enterprise". I'll stick with DVDs, thanks. Besides, I don't watch much cable TV. Quote I'm a liberal's worst nightmare. A black man with a brain!

They are used for getting RIDES! This is what choppers are really for anyway! Even a really ugly guy can get a hot chick for sex with the right bike! How many iterations of a fucking chopper can there be? Bro! How many iterations of a pair of beautiful breasts and a curvy ass are there? There's a chopper to win the heart of almost every woman. I'm not an ape hanger fan but shit!!! I'd ride it everyday and twice on Sunday if that babe was always riding behind me! As much as I LOVE my BMW and Ducati, those "real" motorcycles just don't attract the babes like my Harley does and I've NEVER seen something like this draped over a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, or Suzuki...EVER.
