This is the probably the most revelationary step that super markets as well as the other large retail stores took to be more efficient as well as cost saving.

WRONG.

The problem with the idea that a weight scale that don't read right and credit card machine that doesn't function 90% of the time is not only more inconvienient then the traditional method of chekcking out, it makes shopping experience a nightmare as well as robotic almost.

It's like saying, instead of hiring someone, making sure people get money for their family and etc, they put this machine that has a plain ole woman's voice that's not only nagging and annoying, but makes it impossible for anyone to get it to work properly.

This not only puts people out of their pay check, but it also basically says, buy our shit and get the fuck out environment, where it makes the consumer feel as if, all they want is your money and business, but none of the hassle of taking care of the people who could give a friendly smile and problem solving skills.

They have 1 person who takes care of the problem. Let's say the network goes down, there are about 20 people on self-checkout line, since there is only 1 register with actual person working at the store.

That 1 person is not only imcompetent to take care of the problem at hand, but can't do it fast enough that people are moving.

This was 4 weeks ago at walmart. I have 1, $1.50 AAA battery. waited in line for about 40 minutes for that 1 self-checkout controller to fix all the problems so I could pay for the goddamn thing and get home.

while the line at the register where a real person is working is going through slowly, but it's going through.

This not only pisses me off, but it just shows how much of those giant retail company underminds consumers and makes a statement that they could give a fuck less, since there isn't another place we could go to get good price since they use cheap chinese labor to reduce the price dramatically, causing market monopoly.

so, here is a large fuck you to all the giant retailers that uses this system or inhumane Bull shit.

You shoul be shame that you replace humans with these inefficient machines of horror.

Lol all very true. They waste far more time than they save--just let the workers do their jobs.

Everyone pound your feet to this phenomenon. Now, let's make it loud, let's show 'em all how you move to this phenomenon. Roll! Open your soul, maybe lose control inside of this phenomenon. Just let yourself go and let everyone know you move to this phenomenon.

Funny, I use them all the time and never had a problem. Them machines are a lot smarter than the typical Wal-Mart employee. If they weren't cost effective they would not be in use.

True, but tell me this:

-can you yell at a machine for working to slow, NO!

-can you tell a machine to double bag your groceries, NO!

-can you smirk at a machine for having a shitter low paying job then you

See it takes all the fun out of shopping!

Those machines are cool if your only getting a couple of items, and the places I've used them, they only had a couple of those for that reason. They still had several cashiers for larger sales, but they had maybe 6 of those automated cashiers.

I can see self checkout for a few items when the real checkouts are flooded with assholes and their crying kids... but otherwise it's easier just to go to the actual checkout.

So Soviklop, do you also then advocate hiring people to pump gas?

I want to report a double murder. If you go one mile east on Columbus Parkway to the public park, you will find kids in a brown car. They were shot with a 9mm Luger. I also killed those kids last year. Good bye

Brooks, I like you. Now get out of here. Go home.

Only using the selfcheckouts for just a few items is the best way to do that.. That's the only time I've ever seen them really work.

Fucking stores need to quit trying to be cost effective and remember what customer servce is all about!

That and it's pissing me off, cause I'm paying and making those assholes rich, why can't I get some goddamn service I deserve?

Now I have to bag my own groceries??!!!!
