tizz Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Since we are on the subject, and there are enough misguided youth here to fill and school lunchroom, what's the opinion on teachers recieving tenure? Is it right for people in such a position, and with sucha responsibility to our youth, to be able to keep their jobs regardless of their performance? My last day in school was in 1978, bernie. There were some arseholes even then. Mostly imports from Canada. Or rather, rejects. Are you still in school? I should have qualified that statement of mine as meaning in the NT. Can't recall any Wait Awhiles up there. Most of the rejects I was referring to were from SA. Not your home state? As an Adult Ed teacher, I had students who were supposedly passing well enough to make it to grade ten, and still couldn't fill out an enrollment form. Before you think, keep posting your shit. I love shooting down dickheads. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.

builder Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Public or Private? Not sure about the private sector, though I did experience one narcissistic bastard who'd managed to get booted out of every school, in either sector. My father was private schooled. He was what is currently regarded to as a "recovering Catholic", from that experience. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
Chairman Mao Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I remember a few of my teachers honestly admitted to only being in teaching for the tax cuts. That doesn Quote
