Sounds more like a Ocarina.By the way when I said"that I was only 1 with a mutual bond to music"I didn't mean that you have to play 1 song of Iron Maiden,I meant that I was the only 1 that truly understood what was good music and what wasn't,Dumbass. And I already went through puberty, which for a rocker is sort of you thinking that no1 really cares about you...not even your friends, and trust me that's a real living Hell.L8r

Not only do you have a world to learn about life but you have taken but the first baby steps in teh world of music. It's really laughable, and if you were not being such an insolent little cuss, I would ignore you AND your ignorance. BUT, since you assume to know SO much about the world of music and life (even though you have yet to grow al your pubic hair) I have no choice but to indulge myself here. First off, Hair metal is THE simplest for of music basic on teh most basic of chords and time measures. There is NO complexity to it (probably because they would loose the majority of thier ausience if it did) It is thrown together to look better than it sounds (and usually does) . Honestly, if you play guitar and EVER wish to be a real musician or master of the instrument I would suggest you broaden your influences and most notable get thee to the local record shop and buy any one of the King Crimson albums ('70's to 90's) California guitar trio, AND Pat Matheney (specifically any album that lists the "Picaso" guitar) Listen closely to coomplexity of the music. Work hard to emulate THEM and you are sure to be a real player someday. Stick with your Iron Maiden or Ozzcrap and you will be nothing more than one of the million little talentless mullet heads always pretending to be something you will never achive. OH ya... Learn a little respect for others while you are at it, it might get oyu a little further with people AND yourself

I apologize to your pop for coming down on you but you have been asking for it. You should respect HIM a little more and stop making him look bad by being and arrogant little asshole

Music is a lot more than just being able to listen to it.

Come talk to me when you think you know what you're talking about. :D

I'm but 4 years older than you, and you make me twitch. And how can you be possibly the lone soul that can judge music?

Tell me, what do you judge music by? I dare you to tell me.

I know this is a little off of the subject since Switchblade started pissing everyone off and all, but lately I've been listening to older music. The Beatles in particular. It's funny because a few years ago I really hated them, I thought they really sucked, but when I gave them a chance I realized that they were a really talented and influencial group. My favorite actually.

Nothing wrong with listening to the classics. The Beatles are OK, only get the urge to listen to them once in a while, but they are good. I'm more partial to Pink Floyd myself :D

I have mixed feeling on them. A couple of their songs are "Feel Good" and fun to listen to, but after hours and hours of playing, they begin to all sound like the same thing.

Kinda like some Elvis. :p

ummmmmm... perhaps.....after listening to "hours and hours" an ANY one group/artist... it would all start to sound like the same thing?

hours and hours of Patsy Cline

hours and hours of Matchbox 20

hours and hours of the Wallflowers

Hours and hours of Eminem (ooops, we slit our own wrists after the first hour)

Elvis! The King! My Man! Ohhhh what would the treadmill be without a bit of Elvis on the pod?

Can't go wrong with the classics. I'm partial to Alice Cooper and KISS myself. :D
