phreakwars Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I love small town life compared to the big city... Seems we have our own little scandals but they don't REALLY make the news unless charges are brought up or someone gets shot. http://www.columbustelegram.com/shared-content/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=622 I'll create the poll in a bit, just want to get the topic rolling first. Since a news story usually would involve interviews with the actual people involved and would be nothing but useless gossip if published in the media, so the local newspaper is in a bit of a stand still on the story... But that doesn't mean that the power of free speech needs to be with held. The newspaper has an obligation to withold names.. GF on the other hand, does not. So, I will state at this point I do in fact know the name of the teacher and I do know the name of the student. And, if I WANTED to, I could post their pics as well. But is that really neccesary ? Here is an ethics question for you all.. A teacher fucks a student who is 18, what do you do about it ? In this case, the teacher was a female, and the student a male... big deal ? What if it was a male teacher ? Legal age in Nebraska, and most other states, is 16. Some states younger. But there is no law, at least no REAL law prohibiting your OCCUPATION. But should there be ? What if this woman was a banker ? It would NEVER be news if the woman was a banker. So does anybody really need to know who these people are ? . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars
Komrade Vostok Hazard Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Here is an ethics question for you all.. A teacher fucks a student who is 18, what do you do about it ? Nothing. They are consenting adults In this case, the teacher was a female, and the student a male... big deal? Apparently women can't be pedophiles and child molestation only happens to girls. Our moronic feminazi society said so What if it was a male teacher? There would be a lynch mob on his doorstep. See above. Legal age in Nebraska, and most other states, is 16. Some states younger. But there is no law, at least no REAL law prohibiting your OCCUPATION. But should there be? If they're in a position of trust or authority, or if they are in an occupation that deals directly with children, or some shit like that, it is easy for people to look at as taboo and the perpetrator as slimy. There are also numerous places where it is illegal for people with said occupations to have an affair with persons under 18 years, despite the age of consent being (much) lower. What if this woman was a banker ? It would NEVER be news if the woman was a banker see above So does anybody really need to know who these people are ? Could care less. These incidents are dime a dozen Quote All bullshit, No Business.
Lethalfind Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I am not aware of a law that is against this when it pertains to a teacher, however just about every school I have ever heard of has rules against it. If it were my child, male or female I would have concerns about them being involved with someone so much older. At 18 what is a teenager aware of...as well as, why would the adult want to be involved with someone so much younger. I wouldn't want my childs first sexual experience to be with someone who choose them in order to be able to manipulate them. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
phreakwars Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 Manipulate my ass. The kid graduated last year, he was an adult, it was an adult situation, and the school has no business firing her over fucking a kid who had graduated. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars
Lethalfind Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I'm sorry, I thought he was still in school and she was his teacher... If he were my child, I would still be concerned...but at that point its too late to make a difference. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
manicmonday Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Let's see, many teachers right out of college are only 22, 23. An 18 year old kid. Not much of an age difference. No big deal. No manipulation. I guess I just don't see the big deal with an 18 year old, be it a boy or a girl, dating period. Regardless it is a teacher, banker, or anything else. Profession doesn't apply. Quote The dick has no conscience and the heart has no rational abilities.
Lethalfind Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Well in this case I have to agree, since the teacher concerned is no longer this kids teacher... I don't see any word about the age of the teacher... Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
Phantom Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 A teacher from my old high school just committed suicide after being caught in an underage relationship. Of course, he was a man and the lover was also male. Whoops! 1 Quote Blah.

Lethalfind Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I hate to admit it, but I have to agree...I don't know how they can support it. I might not want my child involved in such a relationship but that doesn't mean her employer had the right to fire her. I bet the local Christians are freaking out though and sort of forced the issue...NICE. Ruin this persons career over this. I hope she gets an attorney and sues...only because that is the only way to teach people a lesson in this day and time. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
RoyalOrleans Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 In my day, if a hot, young teacher wanted to fuck you... you did it and kept your mouth shut. 1 Quote To be the Man, you've got to beat the Man. - Ric Flair Everybody knows I'm known for dropping science.

I bet the local Christians are freaking out though and sort of forced the issue...NICE. Ruin this persons career over this. Lol... Is there anything that the evil, murderous, horrible, Christians from your imagination can do right? Seriously, if there was no wrong done... the school system will rectify the situation. I have a feeling that it was more emotion and initial shock that caused her firing... Not the right-wing, neo-con Christians... Would you find something else to harp on? Get a life. I hope she gets an attorney and sues...only because that is the only way to teach people a lesson in this day and time. That's the mentality that causes every-fucking-body to sue ever-fucking-body else... It's people like you, you dumb cunt, that make life difficult for the rest of us. I knew that about you already, but you're proving it to everyone now... In my day, if a hot, young teacher wanted to fuck you... you did it and kept your mouth shut. Here here! What's wrong with the young guys today? But seriously, if you read down in that initial story, you see where they say the teacher's probably not that good looking... Oh well... Quote Intelligent people think... how ignorance must be bliss.... idiots have it so easy, it's not fair... to have to think... WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE TO BE AMONG THOSE FORTUNATE MASSES..... Hey, "Non-believers" I've just got one thing to say to ya... If you're right, then what difference does it make, it wont matter when we're dead anyway... But if I'm right... Well, hey... Ya better be right...
ToriAllen Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Age is not the problem in this situation. The power dynamic is the problem. A college professor can be fired for sleeping with one of his or her students, so of-course a high school teacher can. The teacher should have known that. That was her own stupidity. Wait until the person is no longer a student at the school you teach at if you want to screw them. It is that simple. Quote Smart men learn from their own mistakes; Wise men learn from others. I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed man.
tiredofwhiners Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 I never had a teacher that was worth nailing. But if i did have and i nailed her now and i'm 40 and she's 63 would she get in trouble? After all she was my teacher. There was a teacher who wanted to nail me though...this i know because almost everyday she made me sit in the hall, or go to the office. And i'm sure it wasn't because i was a bad kid, it was because i made her wet.:o Unless it was because she was short and i was tall, because short people by nature have an inferiority complex...kinda like little dogs. Quote AA's for quitters...i'm no quitter!
