Well, in a way I suppose one could call it legalised killing. Then again, it takes a half-wit to even want to get beat up, and beat others as a professional. Some of those fuckers deserve one-too-many punches to the head for being so stupid in the first place. People act like it's a tragedy when a boxer dies from too many head injuries. Well, no shit.

It was James J Jefferies.

But then, in the late 1900's, segregation extended to include the boxing arena.

Should spam sucks with that one. And I think I will. :D

Nope, it was Rocky Marciano

In my opinion boxing is like any other sports where injuries and death are possible like football, wrestling, or even skill, for lack of a better term, "sports" like motorsports, skiing or gymnastics. These people are adults for the most part adults (with the possible exception of gymnastics) and know what can happen.

If the person chooses to make the conscious decision to convert his head and body into a punching bag for money or fame then who else is being affected that can really bitch. Certainly not the managers or corporate sponsors who make fortunes off of them.

So I guess to get to my point, this is the persons choice and anyone who doesn't like don't watch or participate and butt the fuck out.

I agree. Soapbox preachers should get a real job, and mind their own business.

I like that cage fighting where anything goes and they come out bleeding.

I'm ready for a real life " Running Man" or prison gladiators to the death. Now that would be quality entertainment.
