TheJenn88 Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 Well, in a way I suppose one could call it legalised killing. Then again, it takes a half-wit to even want to get beat up, and beat others as a professional. Some of those fuckers deserve one-too-many punches to the head for being so stupid in the first place. People act like it's a tragedy when a boxer dies from too many head injuries. Well, no shit. Quote

Nope, it was Rocky Marciano Quote The power to do good is also the power to do harm. - Milton Friedman "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents." - James Madison
ImWithStupid Posted October 15, 2005 Posted October 15, 2005 In my opinion boxing is like any other sports where injuries and death are possible like football, wrestling, or even skill, for lack of a better term, "sports" like motorsports, skiing or gymnastics. These people are adults for the most part adults (with the possible exception of gymnastics) and know what can happen. If the person chooses to make the conscious decision to convert his head and body into a punching bag for money or fame then who else is being affected that can really bitch. Certainly not the managers or corporate sponsors who make fortunes off of them. So I guess to get to my point, this is the persons choice and anyone who doesn't like don't watch or participate and butt the fuck out. Quote
builder Posted October 16, 2005 Posted October 16, 2005 Nope, it was Rocky Marciano Hmmm, I see you are right. But did he fight any negroes? This page was worth a read. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
