Outlaw2747 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Thank Tori, RO, and Hamza for inspiring this thread. We was in chat talking about various dreams we had experienced whether it be sleeping or daydreaming. Now since half of the members here have quite a few screws loose (me included, in fact I could be the worst) I'd figure this would make quite the interesting topic. So what unconscious thoughts hve you people ever conjured up in your sleep or fits of boredom? If you was able to control them, tell us about it anyways! GF, have at it! Lethalfind Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 For a woman, I have alot of dreams about sex, normally because I'm not getting it, some very graphic and strange, others just your normal everyday sexual encounter...Usually the man is faceless, no one I know and I can't conjure up the face afterward, but all the other parts are there, so thats all that matters. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
Hamza123 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I can't tell you how many times I have had the falling dream... It usually ends in a fiasco of drule. Quote Taking it up the poopchute from Allah since 1990.
eisanbt Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I would tell you about the time I had a dream about a cow was being walked down the busyest street in town when I was at work one time but I just realized that it accually happened earlier tonight Quote http://www.boohbah.com/zone.html "It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards" -Lewis Carroll
Hamza123 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Thats a weird one. I've never had any of my sleeping dreams be re-embursed in the real world. Quote Taking it up the poopchute from Allah since 1990.
Vortex Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I cant even remember the last dream i had....... i seem to remember only like 2 dreams per year...and they are always strange, and make no sense... Quote -I don't know about you...but I am SICK and tired of being nice and understanding!!! -The Liver is evil and must be punished! -The Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. chartreusechick Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 A lot of nights I'll have dreams about me killing someone by accident. One was I got into a car wreck, and killed everyone in the other car. being the genius that I am I set the car on fire to "destroy the evidence". the only thing is, the people werent dead. but they were after the fire. Last night I had a dream my roomate was a talking gorilla. She behaved like a human, decorating, cooking, sort of like a 50s housewife. She invited a panda bear over and I wouldnt come in the house b/c i was scared of it. Quote I can blow great bugger bubbles.

EG... last year for a whole month I dreamed that I was Jew in Dresdin during the Krystal Nacht days... interesting dreams.... once, I kept dreaming that I was a Roman Guard on Hadrians wall... that was kewl too.... I even remeber my name... "Macreum" ... wierd! Quote Liberals... Saving the world one semester at a time "I'm not a racist... I'm a realist! RoyalOrleans Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I had a dream last night about Tori and Lethalfind. We were in a desert oasis drinking beer, eating ambrosia, and watching Johnny Depp films. No, seriously. Both girls wore white bikinis and I wore my UPS uniform. Lethalfind Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I can direct my dreams sometimes, if I get woke up during a good dream, sometimes I can get back to sleep and pick up where I left off. I have been able to solve problems in my dreams like what subject to write a paper on for school, or a design issue for a job I used to have. I used to do floor layouts for the Bombay Company, I laid out the store one night while I was asleep. My psych professor told me that a persons left and right side of their brain works together more easily while they are asleep. When my Dad died, my dreams went through the weird process of my subconscience realizing and accepting he was dead. I wish I could hook RCA jacks to my brain and record it all so I could remember it all. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.

TheJenn88 Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I have dreams about my brother killing my mom (yeah, weird), and then his girlfriend. Or I kill someone who has taken a uh..negative role in my life. Always those two. occasionally I get one to do with music, or just very, very bizarre ones (I've had one where GF members go to a banquet in my old gymnasium, and we all end up getting in a figh after a karaoke party, and then I get a call on my non-existant cellphone, and I break a table with my pinky finger..) Dreams. Whoever said they had to be normal? Quote

manicmonday Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I have repeat dreams that have lasted for years. I have dreamt of being chewed alive by a lion for probley the last 15 years. And I have a dream where I'm on a mountain with my mom and theres a water fall that I want to go see. But I have to walk around the mountain and it's like 14 miles around to it and we can't get there before dark. I have on occasion new dreams, but mostly, I dream the same ones over and over. I also dream in color. On a side note, when I'm studing something, if I play a cd of the book, or text book when I'm asleep, I remember everything when I wake up. This has served me well over the years. Quote The dick has no conscience and the heart has no rational abilities.
builder Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 I often have flying dreams, where I can soar like a bird. It's a most amazing feeling, and I always wake up very happy after those dreams. Then there are those dreams where I am walking up a vey rickety staircase, or climbing up a mountain, and I can neither continue up, or go back the way I came. Most disturbing. I lay and think about what in my life is giving me this dead-end feeling. Then there are the dreams where I am in a vehicle, hurtling along without any brakes. The last one of those happened a fair while ago now, but I remember it vividly. I was driving a concrete mixer truck on a downhill run through a village, careering through tight gaps, avoiding people and kids; terrifying but at the same time exhilarating. At the end of the hill, I spotted a mound of sand, and lined it up thinking it would stop the truck. No, but It slowed me enough to gain some control. As I ground down through the gears and pulled up, I was at a construction site, and a concreting crew I know well were all there waiting for me to pour the concrete for them. Fucking weird shit. The truck was green. Do you dream in colour? I always do. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.

This has served me well over the years. I have never tried that, I think I should. That probably goes back to that thing my psyc professor told me that the two sides of our brain work better when we are asleep. I sometimes dream in color and sometimes I am inside myself as usual and other times I am watching everything including myself, unfold like its a movie. My psyc professor's first language is Spanish and he says he dreams in Spanish, not English. Is there anyone on here who dreams in another language, other then English? If so then does everyone in your dream speak the same language you do?? Just curious. I am fascinated by dreaming. I take a drug for my asthma that gave me bizarre, extreme dreams in the beginning. Thankfully that wore off, I was almost affraid to go to sleep. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.

eisanbt Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 That probably goes back to that thing my psyc professor told me that the two sides of our brain work better when we are asleep. When your brain is in a state of deep relaxation, which happens during the first stage of sleep, and during meditiation and the like, your brain is covered in these Alpha waves which basically make shit take alot better. The problem with studying just as your falling asleep is that this means that your body is also turing off and you can't really pay enough attention. Tis is the same stage of sleep you're in as you start to wake up. (Ever wonder why you remember that song that was playing on the radio in the mourning?) As for dreaming, I never knew people drempt in black and white. My dreams are always coloured. Maybe I'm a freak. I have friends who have lucid dreams, which is something I can't seem to do though, I can however say to myself "OK this dream is too fucked up" and wake up. Hows bout yous?
