builder Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I'm not the first to say that I fear the repercussions of Dubya's foreign policy decisions, but I'm gettin sick to death of the finger of doom being pointed repeatedly at that sad little puppet of a man. Look beyond the puppet, and you'll find a long list of very intelligent people who have jumped the ship, knowing that floating aimlessly in the ocean of freedom is a much wiser choice than holding on to support a regime that is not just corrupt, but heading this planet in the direction of disaster. Forget Bush. Weed out the evil fuckers behind the puppet. Single them out for public ridicule and eventual justice, and for fuck's sake, stop shooting the messenger. Sure this scenario is a big embarrassment for America in the eyes of the rest of the world, but trying to bluff your way through the mess they've made, and covering for clearly criminal actions is not gonna help the US standing globally. Rout out the evil fuckers, burn their passports, take the proceeds of their crimes from them, track the sources of their support, and burn those fuckers too. Only then can you hope to rebuild your govt., and regain some semblance of trust from your former allies. Get with the program, and sort your shit out. I'm fucking sick to death of the bullshit that passes for your media. Oh, and calling me a raving liberal loony is really gonna help your problem. No, really. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.

cybacaT Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 It's getting to the stage where if the weather is bad, then somehow that's GW's fault. It's beyond ludicrous the things people try to pin on Bush...and they forget one crucial element in most of their conspiracy theories - motivation. Quote

Please. Repeal the fascist, anti-Constitutional USA PATRIOT Act and the anti-consumer DMCA Hunt down the real perpetrators of 9/11, and punish them to the fullest extent of the law (death penalty) Begin pulling troops out of Iraq immediately, with a complete pullout by mid-year 2006 Divert $100 BILLION from military budget to put Americans to work building a renewable energy infrastructure Eliminate Pentagon corruption, and start by cranking up the audit machine (bye bye, Halliburton!) Convert to a national single-payer insurance system, giving every American a 30% reduction in health care costs Enable the courts to punish corrupt corporations by revoking their corporate charters (dissolving their business) That would be a good start. snafu Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 OK the first was totally absurd as you pointed out. The second although is not as bad is also totally absurd. We already pulled a stunt like that in Nam. Nope won Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
builder Posted November 1, 2005 Author Posted November 1, 2005 OK the first was totally absurd as you pointed out. The second although is not as bad is also totally absurd. That may be so, but it sure beats pissing into the wind, or impotently ranting about something you have no intention of thinking deeply about. The Patriot Act is about the only thing their doing right for National Security. I'm not familiar with the Act itself. If this act supercedes the Geneva convention, and allows the neocons to act like terrorists while targetting the same, then it is not just wrong, but hypocritical to boot. Hunt down the real perpetrators of 9/11? We already did that. What the fuck? Who would that be? Saddam? Reagan and Clinton's former puppet? Or Bin Laden? Pull out of Iraq immediately? Fuck that. We already pulled a stunt like that in Nam. Nope won Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
