Nope, nobody talks to my family like that. Ever. I would be pissed off too. I would put a for sale sign in front of his house while every one is sleeping. Maybe he would get the hint . I think I'd also go out in the night and take down HIS mail box and see how he likes not getting his mail. Then I would give his address on every Internet site there is and phone number so the annoying people that call wanting to sell Disney vacations and cruises will annoy the crap out of their home studies. Put signs around town with his address saying "Yard Sale". I'm way to vindictive huh? Don't play with my family because I will play back and not very nice. Or beat the shit out of him. Which ever.

A few suggestions for you, Snafu.

 

That loser is breaking the law by servicing cars on the sidewalk. Take some happy snaps, and dob the fucker in. Hey, it's not like he hasn't already done the same to you.

 

Never ask to be hit. It blows your chance of recourse in the courts. Just smash the fucker, and say he asked you to hit him.

 

Those cars he's working on; take a length of clothes line wire, and hitch the wire from the tail shaft to the exhaust pipe. When he tries to move the car, I think you know the rest of the story.

 

As for the insults to your wife, take an artist's brush, and some brake fluid, and paint on the bonnet of all of his cars, "I am a wife-beater".

 

Short of that, burn the fucker's house down, when he's out, of course. Or not.

That is terrible and NO I don't think your over reacting...Like Builder says I would go for what I know I could get him on, the fixing of cars on the road...isn't there some ordinance against that???

People like that just piss me off. I had a neighbor like that in Texas. He had a horrible dog that used to come over and dig up my flower beds...it was amazing how one night that dog dissappeared.

Luckily where I live now, people are very nice, they offer to help each other etc.

He can give you shit if you do something that is not legal, like punch him and you don't want him to have the last word.

If he gets after your wife again have her call the police and file a report. Make sure she tells the police she was affraid for her safety because he was waving his arms and acting very irrationally. If the police are anything there like they are here, they will not take it lightly that he is threatening a woman. Get your wife to try and act helpless and affraid. This appeals to cops and will throw them into action if there worth anything. Here in the states you can get a restraining order for less then what this guy did to your wife...

Why didn't you just hit the guy? When the cops come just tell them that he phyisically attacked you and you were defendiing yourself.

 

Next step is to lodge your own complaints about the cars. If Alaska requires a business permit or zoning for his mechanic operation, make sure the authorities are WELL aware of what he's doing. (Maybe he needs a visit from the IRS too )

 

Make life a living hell for him, and don't stop. Call the police on him often for any and all minor or certainly major infractions and let them know that he's threatened you (even if it's not true). Tell them SEVERAL times. If (and when) there is a physical confrontation, or he tries something chicken shit, you will have written documentation to use against him.

 

This is probably bad advise, but it seems good right now.

I would absolutely turn him into the cops every chance you get, all the while pretend to be his best friend... I'd apoligize to him for arguing with him, then slowly make his life hell...It's the right thing to do.

Sounds to me like more proof that there is no need to look for trouble, as it will always come looking for you. I would refrain from doing anything that will get you in legal trouble. That would suck to be sitting in jail even though your the one who didn't instigate the whole issue. I have had dealings with neighbors in the past but they never acted like they wanted to fight as I carry a gun openly and I guess that discourages hostility.

As far as the snow blowing thing, I can see how that pisses you off because you know hes doing that on purpose. Go to a tool rental and get a snow blower when he does that. Take before pictures, then blow all that shit right back onto his property, maybe spray it down with water afterwards to make it ice up. Approach anything he does towards you with the same angle. If hes gonna cause trouble with you then your gonna make it roll back on him, just do it in a way that keeps your own ass covered from legal backlash. After awhile i'm sure he'll think twice about fucking with you if your creative and pesky enough.

Just try to avoid fighting. I've been in a few fights since I became a man and its alot scarier then when I was a kid. There ain't gonna be no teachers breaking it up after half a minute. Usualy the outcome is either you get hurt real bad or arrested, or both.

Sorry to hear about your situation, it's kinda unfourtunate, but atleast you know he's a real asshole now. You did everything legal, although he didn't. Not only did he verbally assault your wife but he also parks his shit infront of your mail box and the whole deal w/ the snow blower. Now you have a couple of options here.... The next time he try's anything to your family! Kick the shits ass! Thats you're family! Your own blood! He has no right to call your wife such henious comments and you should have knocked him for that. Next time he does ANYTHING, legal or not-legal. You can do what MRIH said, because he has done illegal things so the police will understand. He has no evidence on you since you have not done anything to him yet I hope you have evidence of him doing something illegal. For instance the next time he parks his car infront of your mailbox, just take a photo of the car and the license plate number and the actual car infront of your house. Also if he tries anything with the snow blower you could take a picture or video of him doing so... These are probobly your best bets. Your wife had every right to flip him off. Good luck, and I hope everything works out for you.

I say just fuck up his tires, a good slash you know (or get some loacal punk to do so). Then he either gets them towed or, if things go well, he just gets pissed and they sit there then call the 'fuzz' and say they've been sitting out there for longer then you can remember. Have you guys ever heard of George Hayduke??? He has several books with advice on how to get back at assholes like this, You can find them in the comedy/humour section of Barnes and Nobles. Even if you don't do what he says, its hilarious to read.

 

One of the things Hayduke recommends you do to learn about someone like your neighbor is too pick up his garbage, you can learn all sorts of things about someone that way and once he has left it at the curb, its in the public domain...You might even find something you can report to the police or IRS.

How many people do you know that shred their important documents before they throw them out...Think about it.

 

It might take all night but I'd be god damned if he would leave his snow in my yard, I think he would wake up to find it piled in front of his god damn door.
