builder Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Preventable deaths in Iraq. War without justification is the catch-cry. Why is your gov there? Certainly not for the reasons used to justify invasion. The ulterior motive is? What's the big fucking secret? Your emotive link is justification for staying home for the rest of my life. Maybe I will be run over by a truck? Statistics say I have a better chance of that than being hit by a stray bullet. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
RoyalOrleans Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I have another alarming statistic... it takes a team of twenty Clydesdale Horses to jerk me off. Quote To be the Man, you've got to beat the Man. - Ric Flair Everybody knows I'm known for dropping science.
slip_knot Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 car crashes resulting in death are seen as accidents, the perception is that little can be done about them. Murder of police officers are also seen as non-preventable due to the presence of criminals. However the deaths of US soldiers could be prevented, by simply bringing them home, or perhaps not having sent them there in the first place. Hence the phenomena you have discussed. Quote
tiredofwhiners Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Then we could just sit back and wait for that miserable cock sucker to get enough arms, to come over here and kill more on our own soil. Kinda like that one time in Hawaii called ...oh ya Pearl Harbor. We don't need to hang out there and change there miserable way of life, just needed to take the threat away from the USA.
