You are a good example of that last statement. BTW, I took that test. Aced it. You clearly ARE the weakest link. Good-bye.:D

It does drive me a bit nuts to see folks on this site mixing up "their/there/they're (Christ, sometimes it appears that some don't even know the word "they're" even exists.)..and your/you're is hugely violated...

Then again, the entire world has simply gone insane with it's use of "good" in the place of "well". Sigh, that's the biggest pet peeve.....makes 'em all sound like monkeys...

ahh well. at least we're attempting to communicate. Beats being dead.

Alright, it was easy, but at the same time, my mind sees a lot of words that are similar to each other as being the same word. The joys of dyslexia. It took a while to get through it because I had to keep reading the sentences and looking for differences. I ended up with a 15/15 in the end, though. Just don't time me on a task like that...

Q. When do you use well or good?

A. In general, use well to describe an activity, good to describe a thing.

When it is an activity being described, use well, as in "He did well in the spelling bee." Well is an adverb in that instance, describing the verb. When it is a condition or a passive state being described, use good, as in "You're looking good tonight!". Good is an adjective in this instance, describing the noun.

With feel good/feel well, it is more complicated. In this case, the word well is being used an adjective meaning 'healthy' — so it is OK to say, "I feel well." You can say "I feel good" also, but it is more informal, borderline slangy."

Your right. It’s boarderline slang. That’s the way I talk.

It’s the same thing with "can I" or "may I", "My daughter and I" or " me and my daughter".

They correct way sounds so formal and I think that’s why people don’t say them correctly.

But for you I will make an exception and try to use the well and good correctly. I can't promise I'll remember but I will try.
