builder Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 THE WAR AGAINST STRAWMEN A.K.A. "THE WAR ON TERRORISM" Tuesday, December 13, 2005 The Bush Administration continues to maintain that its war in Iraq, and its adventures anywhere else, are aimed at ending worldwide terrorism. But such a feat is not only impossible, it is absurd. Terrorism is a crime, not a war. Terrorism is committed by gangs of criminals Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
Mohammed_Rots_In_Hell Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 How about a "War on islam" ... I could go for that! Quote The first amendment provides our constitution with its voice. The second amendment provides its teeth.

builder Posted December 16, 2005 Author Posted December 16, 2005 Fantastic read builder. You should consider a career in journalism I never wrote it, but it does epitomise my pissed-offness with the bullshit that amounts to US government right about now. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
tiredofwhiners Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 So far were loosing. I believe in knocking down a group who is a threat. But overall our life in America has changed since 911. You fly it's a pain in the ass, go to Washington DC it's a pain in the ass. About anywhere you go, it more difficult since 911. The terrorists have most people scared, maybe not you and me but most people. So because of that they are winning. Quote AA's for quitters...i'm no quitter!
eisanbt Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 How about a "War on islam" ... I could go for that! What no denoucing of the facts/thoughts express herein MRIH? You usually seem more then ready to attack this exact shit when its me posting it. Although I prefer to say that they set up "Impending Dooms" (Or basically somebody/thing to be horrified of to justify the bullshit thats pulled for whatever greedy shit-cake(s) that has/have power at the time) Well, gives us some conflict! builder Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 Tiredofwhiners, the concept of using fear as a political tool is as old as the hills. The end of the Cold War represented a void in the fear factor. MRIH, the war on Islam is well under way. Eisanbt, the "Impending Doom" scenario is spot-on. Governments need a spectre of evil to justify irrational actions. Just read today that Bush failed in his attempt to justify torture of prisoners, and Cheney also failed in his attempt to see the CIA exempted from the anti-torture ruling. Suck shit, boys. In fact most of the rushed-in anti-terror laws will die a natural death due to congress finally waking up to the ruse. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.

Cogito Ergo Sum Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Well isn't the icing on the cake today's news that the US had captured Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaeda in Iraq, who was said to have been picked up in the Fallujah area last year and held for three or four hours before being released! WTF! Quote . I put no stock in religion. By the word "religion" I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of god. I have seen too much "religion" in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. WE'VE SPENT HOW MUCH IN IRAQ? www.costofwar.com - http://icasualties.org/oif/ - http://iraqbodycount.net/
builder Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 Interesting, CES. Was there a mix-up over his identity? Perhaps he is better off out there as another strawman? Just like Usama. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.

builder Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 So phreakwars, you think the hunt for Osama bin Hiding was legit? Or another strawman carrot-dangle for the donkeys of the nation? Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.
phreakwars Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 It was a carrot dangle. . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars
builder Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 It was a carrot dangle. . . It amazes me that the donkeys forget about the last carrot in the pursuit of the next carrot. My take on the issue is that the massive amount of new info available via our multitude of media sources is a strawman in, and of itself. There is no media value in harping on about some issue that happened even last week. With the exception of some white chick dissappearing on some island, or Oprah Winfrey's current weight crisis, of course. Now that is newsworthy. Quote Persevere, it pisses people off.

I'm not sure what you mean by this statement. It would serve as a political victory to capture/kill Bin laden. I suppose your one of those schizo's that thinks Bush blew up the twin towers. I suppose your one of those schizo's that thinks Bush blew up the twin towers. He was asking if he thinks the Osama hunt was just an excuse for some BS actions. Yes it would be a Political Victory, but not at all a necessary one. (Not right now anyhow) People have all but forgotten about him so theres no real You certainly seem to enjoy over-simplifying and sterotyping, get ouside your little black and white world and join is in Techna-colour.
