Rosie Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Why can't people just be what they are without hating those not like them!! Yesterday i was beaten up, yep nice ah! The culprit was a skinhead girl in full steelcaped boots etc etc. She was about 14 and the sole reason i could fathom for the attack was the fact that i have very long hair, she just went mental at me and forced me onto my knees, grabbed my hair really tight and pulled my head back over and over with my hair flying everywhere. I'm just a normal person but she insisted on calling me a hippie bitch again over and over. Skinheads,,, agghhhhhh! Quote

This is new stuff in the USA, but we have had then here in the UK since about1973/4. Crew cut hair, Doctor Marten boots. Really short trousers, no where near the ankle, Ben Sherman shirts. In those days they used to listen to reggae and ska. Then they split in two directions. Those still listening to black music, and the other group, now listening to white power stuff. Quote

My hair is long so it did fly about a bit. She was beside me and completly went into one calling me a hippie bitch etc and then attacking me. She did have a Nazi mark on her shirt sleeve so i can guess her political persuasion!! After pulling my head back endlessly she threw me in the gutter, gave me a kick, more abuse and run off. I thought it was just a few years old over there. I remember them starting in the early 70's in the uk. Then it seemed to go underground, and I didn't see anymore of them. Then came "suede heads". They had slightly longer hair- about 1/4 inch, instead of the near shave. These kids were more interested in clothes, and started wearing crombies. These were black/dark blue 3/4 lengh over coats. The impression was one of threat, ie concealment of a weapon. Few years on and they were out. Then came the neo skins of today. I read about them, but have not seen any. Quote
