As soon as Saddam threatens, they cry and whine until we go beat up the bad guy. Why, dependence on foreign oil! Now the Saudi's gives a 40 million dollar gift to Harvard to teach Islamic Studies. A complete slap in the face from the same country that brought us 9/11. The theory goes use there oil first and we will still have ours. Some americans are willing to pay high gas prices in order to protect the environment. Our leadership will placate oil rich country's so not to disturb our economy. ANWAR is about to be defeated. Actually I agree that the US coddles the Saudis WAY too much! The Saudi Royal Family are just as evil as their populace (however, they are about 1000 times more civilized). Saudi Arabia is definately on my "Axis of Evil" list that should be anhialted along with every other other muslim nation or country that ends with the suffix "stan". We've been running a fucking food stamp program for the mid east for years, they have no other realistic commodity besides heroin that they can offer the rest of the world to sustain their existence. I don't view the United States, or other countries that deal with them as "KISSING ASS" I view them as taking on another welfare case for the sake of humanity. Like Phreak said they would starve without us buying their oil. However they can get us over a barrel so to speak by spiking the prices off and on.
