ImWithStupid Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 This really pisses me off. http://www.courttv.com/news/2006/0112/chatroom_suit_ctv.html This has to rate up there with the all time frivolous lawsuits. Un-FUCKING-believable. Let's see, if you don't like what someone says to you in a chat-room, what options do you have. a) Don't go to that chat-room. (sounds simple) b) Complain to the admin if there is one. (easy enough) c) Find a kinder, gentler chat-room like the Columbus Telegram's. snicker d) Tie up the courts with some stupid bullshit because I'm a big pussy and my feelings got hurt. Duh uh, letter "d" sounds good. Give me a fucking break. One more sign of the coming Apocalypse. _________________________________________________________ This is a poll question on the Columbus Telegram Opinion site. ImWithStupid Posted January 17, 2006 Author Posted January 17, 2006 What's illegal about photographing a damn house? I think they are trying to say his actions went beyond the realm of the internet and by photographing his house he is crossing into a stalking/harassing situation. The entire thing is a bunch of crap. Quote
The Funk Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 The entire thing is a bunch of crap.Agreed. It's ridiculous. Music to the lawyers' ears though. Anyone else think the defense council might throw this one? Quote
Komrade Vostok Hazard Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 I've recieved more verbal abuse from the years I spent in chatrooms than ANYONE BUT ANYONE can start to shake a stick at. I've never sued any of them. How in the fuck does someone suffer emotional distress over a fucking flame war on an AOL chatroom? Especially a grown man? Quote All bullshit, No Business.
