Did you happen to notice on TAZ, that members have the option of posting as anonymous ??

 

I think that would be a kick ass feature to give the Premiums and Legacy members.

 

It will let them respond (in evil ways) to other people without the YOU SAID/HE SAID/SHE SAID "FRIENDSHIPS" we have now.

 

Very evil indeed.

 

It's nice being able to review new sites, it lets me get a sneak peak at what others are doing, and gives me opportunity to throw in a "SPAM" or 2 for GF disguised as a review, then pop into their site and let the loveable CHUNKS pee on their rug and leave his mark and a LINKING URL in his signature in his "HI AND GOOD LUCK" post..

This would be great feature, however we no longer have the Guest Area and don't allow unregistered people to post. The Anonymous moniker would only be a shallow attempt at fucking with trolls. Now, there is not anything inherently wrong with that.

 

Still I like the idea, but we'd have to tweak our "unregistered guest" policy to make it work.

No, this is WAY different RO. The user HAS to be registered to post an anonymous post. It's not an OPEN option, it is a user group specific option.. Like lets say MRIH wanted to make a post about fullauto, but didn't want fullauto to know who wrote it. He could post as anonymous, but lets say manicmonday wanted to do the same thing, she wouldn't have that option available to her since she is just a regular member. It does't allow people to "TROLL" around unless they break down and buy a premium membership first.

The problem I am seeing, is people are just way too fucking buddy buddy with each other. When this happens nobody wants to call out the others ideals, they would rather agree with them, or go "OH THAT'S TOO BAD"

 

I see people complaining as of late that were not ANGRY enough around here, we need to restimulate the anger to get more participation, it's what people like fullauto, and even cool_dude come here to view.

 

This is one of the reasons he has been starting shit about the "NIGGERS" in his posts as of late, for intellectual arguements sake.

I don't know about that option. I kind of like the fact that no one can make idiotic comments behind the veil of anonymity. There is somewhat of a childish hit and run style that is added with that. Then you get the idiots that start backing themselves up because no one else will. If this was added, the Mods could still see who is posting right?

Yes, we (MODS) would be able to tell who it was still via I.P. match, . We can use it as BLACKMAIL to torture premiums.

 

Remember, WE can post anonymous IM's already, I have been using that like crazy on new members.

That would be great if the I.P. match actually worked. Everytime I have trid, it locks up my computer.

 

When sending an anonymous Page to someone it usually says it is from 'N/A'. I got one yesterday that said it was from 'unregistered'. Is there a way for us to change who it says it is from?

You should be able to just hover your mouse over the

Icon in the right hand corner of the user and see the I.P. address without having to click anything, it should appear as a yellow box with the number
