Are Animals Really Not Consenting?

I just saw a wonderfully executed film called Zoo, and I couldn't help but wonder after watching it... in beastiality is the Animal not consenting if it's the one doing the penetrating? If the person lies there or just gets under them, the animal is usually so strong that it could fight off the person if it did not want to have intercourse. If the animal does have sex with the peson wouldn't that be considered consenting? I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Many years ago I was working in the diamond fields, of what was then South West Africa, myself and 3 other whites, and some 40 Africians ,were in a prospecting camp some 250 miles north of Swakopmund (our nearest town), it was on the Skeleton Coast, while there we had to kill our own goats and sheep which were kept at the water post some 20 miles south, two men were left there to look after them, anyway one day when one of us (Jim) went to fetch a couple of them for slaughter (we killed 2 every three days) he caught one of the men fucking a goat (female nothing queer about him) Jim knocked 7 types of shit out of the guy, not for fucking a goat but for fucking his food.
