phreakwars Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Because the stupid people pay for what they can have for free? And as for your daughter being better off away from someone like me - you'd better hope she has someone like me around in her life - a pastor, a teacher, a friend's parent - someone she can turn to when she's in danger. Because while you may love your daughter very much, YOU are setting her up for a fall, and are too blinded by pride to see it. Sometimes its the outside casual observer who can see the big picture better.Uhmm yeah... guess Jesus will save her huh ?? . . Quote https://www.facebook.com/phreakwars

As for you thinking my daughter is headed for a fall, that is an arrogant thing to say, the only thing I can see you are basing that on is that I do my best to keep her away from people whose judgement I think is flawed...like ministers and pastors...well you are of course entitled to your opinion but make no mistake I will do WHATEVER it takes to keep people like you away from her, that is borne of long and sad experience with assholes like you and Huge/eddo. People like you are not worthy of her attention and time...People of your ilk will have to find someone else to manipulate and control (the real job description of a pastor). Very good point, when you hear about the sexually perverted, there is a VERY high occurence of them being religious, they try to get absolution for their sins by going to church on their Sabbath and then raping and molesting through the rest of their week. Religion is an attempt to control the lives of others around you, molesting a child or abusing the woman in your life is an attempt to control that person, they often go hand in hand. Lethalfind Posted March 7, 2006 Author Posted March 7, 2006 Actually teachers are the most likely to be abusive of kids. But don't expect her to homeschool. I personally would not homeschool my child because I don't believe that is the enviroment that is best for her. Children need the social development of being in school. She has not had a male teacher yet...and I hope we all know the LOW chances of a female being the abuser. The way the schools are set up here is that there are two teachers in the classroom at all times so no accusations can be made and there is only one teacher to counter them. Homeschoolers generally do better academically, and there are groups of home schoolers who get together for socialization/playtimes, but the situation you describe doesn't sound too bad. And female teachers are abusing kids at an alarming rate - although the problem seems to be mostly with boys just reaching puberty. But there was a recent story about a lesbian teacher who was caught abusing girls. I'll try and find the story for you after class this afternoon. Yes I have read about the female teachers having sex with the male students, it disgusts me and they should have the same punishment that would be given to a male teacher doing that to a female. I don't have the financial luxury to homeschool even if I thought I was qualified to homeschool. Its just not something that I think would benefit my daughter. I have confidence in her teachers. We speak often and exchange emails. As a parent I am welcome to come into class and observe if I want to, I can join them for school functions, I can eat lunch with the class. I'm not saying its never good, its just not the right choice for me. The children I have know who were homeschooled were taught this way for religious reasons, religious reasons that I consider ridiculous. The religion I was brought up in was almost fearful of outsiders and did all they could to keep us away from the "great unwashed" so homeschooling was just another way to brainwash and keep us away from the main stream. These children are not the average homeschooled child because of this reason. Because of this background I want my daughter to get to know people, to feel comfortable around people with different backgrounds, races, religions, different economic backgrounds. I was not encouraged in this way and felt almost trapped growing up. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.

I won't say more for sensitivity's sake other than both eddo and I agree that kind of Church isn't doing God's work and you are good to be rid of them. We'll leave it at that. If you want to know specifics, I was raised a Seventh Day Adventist and its has made me mistrust all religious people until that person demonstrates otherwise. I will not be controlled, manipulated and abused anymore, its just that simple and I lived a life of that in the name of religion. The general population has one way of dealing with women but the community I was raised in was so much worse then the norm for the rest of the world. If you don't believe they are a cult, you don't know enough about them... My Father was a minister but retired (in his 40s) about the time I was born but he retained the personae. He went into various businesses for himself but still did preach from time to time, and every morning was up at the crack to read his bible, to find something else to beat people over the head with. Something else to instruct the rest of us on. Quote I am a pathetic piece of shit leeching single mom.
Gallytuck Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 It is funny how people on this board seem to believe they have no control over their own lives. Ditto that one. Quote
