RoyalOrleans Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Animal Rights Groups Give Nod Of Approval To Cattle Hunting Program By Onyo Udedn March 11, 2006 A new lifestyle enrichment and hunting program for disabled and mentally retarded hunters has drawn some controversy as well as approval from animal rights groups. ImWithStupid Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 It's definitely wrong that they call it hunting. Hunting: 1. The activity or sport of pursuing game. I don't see a whole lot of "sport" or "pursuing" happening here. If they change it to CattleShooting, I have no problem with it. If someone wants to shoot a cow that is already going to get whacked at a packing house, great. Don't call it hunting though. If they want to hunt they can check out stuff like this... http://www.buckmasters.com/More_Buckmasters/BADF/DisabledHunters.html this... http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/wildlife/hunt/deer/disap.htm this... http://hunting.about.com/library/weekly/aa_ussa_a.htm and so on. You get the point. Quote
Gallytuck Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees something wrong with that. I mean, sure, the alternative is pretty fucking morbid, too. But trying to turn that sort of frown upside down by letting retarded individuals...like, fuck, that's just wrong. Quote
Zukiman Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Teach a tard gun safety? I don't get it:confused: Quote
Gallytuck Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Teach a tard gun safety? I don't get it:confused: ^^^^For Angie Yeah, that's another thing. But just imagine Corky firing a rifle from over a fence at a cow. Actually...thinkin' about it now that'd be some really funny shit! Quote

eisanbt Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I can give it an "Atleast" at the most; The cows aren't locked in space 3inches bigger then themsleves before they sent off to be chopped. snafu Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I just want to know how you stalk a cow in a field while their grazing. I guess you oil your wheelchair. I don't see the point in this but if they want to hunt and it's fun for them them I don't see a problem. I think they should get the patients to help with the skinning and processing though. I was taught if you kill something you have to finnish the job. That gives them more insight on the whole proses. And it tends to make you a better shot. Try cleaning a gut shot animal. It ain't pretty. And it stinks like hell too. Quote "You can't stop insane people from doing insane things by passing insane laws. That's just insane!" Penn & Teller NEVER FORGOTTEN
Skaterdude409 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 i just hope this doesnt give birth ot a whole lot of cheney accidents Quote
mozartownsmusic777 Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 Yeah, if tards are hitting cows more accurately then Cheney, that is a little unnerving. I think this is okay. Frankly, cows probably have a very good life. They get all the food they want, they get to eat and sleep all the time, and have nothing to do but enjoy life. Then, at their prime, right before old age and slow painful death sets in, they are put out of it quick and painless. Sounds like the way to go for me. Fuck getting old. I wouldn't want to become a worthless, slow, social parasite who can't drive and smells like poo...oh wait, what were we talking about? Quote
eisanbt Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 In Europe and North America most newborn dairy bulls will be slaughtered for veal before they're six weeks old. Milk does more then just support the dairy industry. However, many bulls are raised as steers and butchered for dairy-beef when about eighteen months old, the right ol'age of 1.5 Quote http://www.boohbah.com/zone.html "It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards" -Lewis Carroll
