I live in a moderate-sized midwest city... and I've come to the conclusion that this city is full of lazy cops who don't like to do their job... except for one thing...

 

 

SPEEDING TICKETS.

 

All these fat jerks do is sit around writing tickets for BS offenses that htey can't prove.

 

Guess how much it costs to get an expired plates ticket? $150!!!

 

It pisses me off that thats all the cops do instead of busting up meth labs or fighting some REAL crime.

It is not there job to bust up meth labs and shit. Drug Enforcement does that. Get your shit together before you post off the wall crap like that. As much as I'd like to agree with you I have to say that it's pretty obvious, judging by the number of people ranting about speeding tickets these days, that they can't leave us "innocent" people to observe the laws on our own.

Zukiman, maybe the cops where you live are a little different... the city cops here do the Drug Enforcement (a piss poor job might I add).

 

And I did have an expired tag, but it had JUST expired and I was on the way to get it taken care of... and I GOT FUCKING PULLED OVER AND GIVEN A $152 TICKET!!! The cop listened, but ticketed me so he could have his fucking donut money!

Firstly speeding is not a BS offense, people die from idiot drivers not paying attention to the speed limit, if you do it, you deserve to get a ticket so shut up and stop your bitching. As for getting a ticket for an expired tag that is also your own stupid fault. I don't buy your were driving right that moment to get it taken care of either. They do give a grace period and you were outside that as well?? Your an idiot, pure and simple.

As for cops busting meth labs...usually cops are assigned to certain duties, if its their job to investigate things like drug labs then thats what they do, if its their job to keep idiots like you from killing others then thats what they do...

If you know your town has heavy coverage for traffic violations why do you continue to indulge in this kind of activity, knowing your going to get busted??

Maybe if you bring a note from your Mommy, they will let you out of the ticket...NOT!

You might as well be a blackman driving a powdered doughnut, brother. Cops love to hand out citations for expired tags and no proof of insurance. It's their way of "connecting" with the plebians. Besides that, it is the only adamant proof that you have broken the law. Being unaware, forgeting, etc is a typical excuse and cops revel in that shit.

 

Perhaps they are pulling you over, citing you, and fining you on their way to bust some meth dealing serial killer molester.

Just because you're breaking a law that isn't a felony, doesn't mean it doesn't matter. All the laws are supposed to be followed. That is what they are there for.

In the way of speeding, if you're cautious about it, you are unlikely to get a ticket. I generally drive no more than 5 mph over the speed limit. Know how many tickets I have? Zero.

Keep the lead foot under control, renew your registration when you're supposed to, and life will be peaches and cream before ya' know it. (At least, your driving expiriences). The only ones who complain about traffic citations being too strict are those that don't know how to be responsible drivers.

I had insurance, and proof.

 

And I won't say where I live, but the crime rate per-capita here is one of the highest in the US, and it pisses me off that ALL the cops do is give tickets. If you're doing 21 in a 20mph school zone BAM... its three times what it normally is... and 20mph school zones is Bullshit when the school is 1/2 mile away.

 

The county sheriffs here are the worst... I've ran from them quite a few times and gotten away... I wouldn't ever run if they wouldn't pull me over for BULLSHIT offenses (they've been known here to give tickets to people for running YELLOW lights, which isn't illegal, but they 'say' its a red light to give the ticket... and it gets upheld EVERY time in traffic court, this happened to a coworker of mine several times, once he even had a witness and it got upheld)

Don't let your plates expire and you won't have to pay a fine.

 

I had to pay a $100 fine and a $150 fine because my ins. lapsed 1 day. it was my stupidity so i can't bitch about it.

Where I live you get a grace period for expired tags AND you can renew it over the internet.

Sound to me like you've got a rep with the local PD. They know you're usually doing something wrong so they pull you over. Quit being a moron and become a law abiding citizen and you will no longer have a problem.
