slip_knot Posted March 22, 2006 Author Posted March 22, 2006 Sawatdi Kap Nazz So where did you go ? I've been three times, always to Phuket. I'm aiming to be there again Aug/Sept/oct, time, Not sure when , but it will be for a month. I'll be learning to surf this time. Cant wait for some more Tom Yam, and of course the seafood. Can't wait to see my Thai buddies again either. Quote
Gallytuck Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I love Thai broads. I don't like Thai food. I loved Ong-Bak, though. Quote

slip_knot Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 Tell me about Ong Bak Gally. Here is what Tom Yam is. Its a soup, the name means "hot and sour" The words Tom Yam are usually followed by another word which refers to an additional item, so: Tom Yam goong is the soup with shrimps Tom Yam pla is the fish soup Tom Yam gai is chicken soup. Tom Yam usually contains lemon grass, spices, galangal, bamboo shoots, tomatoes, onions and probably more. It's not too hot like an Indian curry. It's delicious. Available at a Thai restaurant near you. Enjoy. Quote
Gallytuck Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I don't like spicey food, at all. I just like a bit of spice and lemon in my Lebanese meatpies. Ong-Bak is a wicked pissah movie. If you like the martial arts/action and like the stunts Jackie Chan pulls off but find him to be too much of a pussy then you have to see this flick. It's all Muay Thai shit. And it's kick-arse. The story is flimsy but the action more than makes up for it. The actor who plays Ai Tim is Tony Jaa. He could even kick Chuck Norris' arse. Quote
slip_knot Posted March 23, 2006 Author Posted March 23, 2006 lol I thought Ong Bak was a delicious Thai meal I'd never heard of.... Quote
