Friends gone before their time

In order as I can recall them..

 

 

Gene died (age 14) of a freak accident on a ski slope in the summer time

Donnie drowned from a boating accident

Tim (my best friend, age 25) was stabbed to death, drunk at a sleazy downtown hotel

Rocky’s brother was shot to death

Bones(I forgot his real name) died of crack

Caroline died of crack

Janice died naked at my parent’s house on crack

Carol died of an aneurysm after smoking crack

Al Junior (my uncle) died of a heroin overdose

Gunner died drunk by a mysterious boat fire

Dwayne killed himself after spending his last $200 dollars on crack

Chuck’s brother was shot to death (mistaken identity)

John died of heart dieses

Pat died of a heroin overdose

Ricky (Gene's brother) was shot to death

Dave died of a heroin overdose

Ed (Pat's brother) died of a heroin overdose

Bart died of a heroin overdose………………………

 

There's probably more but I can't think of them right now. Each one of them has a story. Each one of them were close to me and were good people even though some of them made bad choices.

Haha.. Why did I expect someone to say something like that? Yeah your right but I think they're all gone now. Just a little to late.

 

I was just pondering last night, wondering where everybody went. This was in about a 35 year span.

 

I posted this because, for one I wanted to remember my friends. But most of all to hopfully show others the loss they can indure do to drugs. Maybe you know someone in this situation?

There's a good chance that I'm going to be in this situation soon....

 

I have a friend who was addicted to morphine since she was a baby (her parents would inject her with it prior to sexually assaulting her)...nowadays, at age 26, she's (apparently) doing more morphine than a horse can handle. Not to mention she drinks, smokes (both the green stuff and the not-so-wacky terbacky) like a chimney, takes a whole bunch of other pills, likes her acid and magic mushrooms and during her teenage years she was heavilly into crack and soft.

 

We think if she sees 30 it will be a miracle.

Let me give you some very sound advise. If she goes to detox watch her like a hawk! Most of my friends on heroin (same thing as morphine) died after they where clean for a month or so. They think they can go back to the same routine. They can't!! They can't even take a tenth of what they were used to. Please trust me on this one.

 

PS: If there's a hell, there's a place for her parents.

Most everyone I grew up with is dead these days, plenty of suicides in the death grab-bag, a few car accidents, military, AIDS & drugs. I went through my High School year book last year and put little red check marks by the ones that are dead, Lots of red "X's" not much left of the AAHS Class of 84. Most of my military buddies are dead also, Paul Prybella died last year, after the Army he became a DEA guy, got shot last year. I will keep the list of fallen individuals short, only the ones I respected.

D. Harris - AIDS

C. Aguilar - Hung himself in Malaysia

R. Bala Haddin - Shot along the Bangladesh/India border

D. Eristoff - Died in my arms in Cheznia

J. Mofazzal Hossain - Found his head mounted on a pole

H. Rumunda - Shot & hacked-up in Congo

J. Laffollette - Died of parasitic infestation in Libya

S. Lazar - Run over in Taegu, Korea

M. Mejia - Killed in Honduras with a machete

N. Panran-Porhphana - Arrested, tortured & killed in Burma

 

You know what? I am noticing something here. My life and the lives of most of you is not very similar. You.. your friends & families all seem to be dying of self inflicted stupidity, wasted lives..drugs, living in oblivion. Every last one of the listed individuals LIVED life 100% they LIVED, they explored and they had an effect on the world.... I will leave you with a favorite saying of my buddy Rumunda.
