Guest John Wesley Asquith
The U.S. death toll for May has risen to 114, making it the deadliest month so far this year. The highest monthly death tolls for U.S. troops occurred in 2004 -- 137 in November and 135 in April. Since the start of the war, 3,458 U.S. service members have died. Seven civilian contractors of the Defense Department also have been killed in the war. Nearly a dozen helicopters have been shot down or have made hard landings under fire in Iraq this year, mostly military choppers but a few operated by security contractors. With the death of the two pilots Monday, the number killed this year in helicopter downings stands at 30. Bush's "surge" is certainly going well. Remember, it is not too late to impeach the dumb ass. And remember to throw out the GOP candidates in the next election...they were Bush's cheer leaders while the dumb ass got the U.S. into this mess. Do you feel any safer now that nearly 3,500 boys are dead in Iraq? http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/05/29/iraq.main/index.html

So, his escalation, or as he calls it, his surge was destined to fail as well. Bush will not be a success at anything. Anyone who still holds out hope that bush will do something right, make a prediction that will pan out, plan something right, or even complete a simple sentence without fucking it up, is a member of the 20% or so of Americans who are just plain stupid. His track record speaks for itself, and any attempt he makes at saving his legacy will be another effort in futility that will cost more lives and more billions of dollars. When will this nation stop the bush waste? That's the only thing left to decide.

Had you been paying attention you would have known that the Pentagon DID NOT want a troop surge and agreed to one ONLY if they could try it for six months (ending end of September).
