Imus Comeback for September?

Fired talk show host Don Imus will return to the airwaves in September,

according to private investigator Bo Dietl, who was a regular on Imus'

morning show.

Dietl said on an Albany, N.Y., radio show: "I'm not supposed to say, but if

he was to be coming back, I would look to September."

Host Fred Dicker asked if Dietl was referring to a new show on satellite

radio, the New York Post's Page Six column reported. Dietl replied:

"Broadcast."

Imus was fired by CBS Radio and MSNBC in April after he made a disparaging

and racially insensitive remark about the Rutgers University women's

basketball team.

Page Six also disclosed that Imus "has been scouting comedy clubs looking

for a black sidekick who will take the sting out of any future racial cracks

like the one that got him booted off the air."

In May, an Internet poll sponsored by NewsMax.com revealed that Americans

overwhelmingly believe Imus should return to radio and TV.

Not if he had a "competition" clause in his contract.

And if he does, so what?

You think people are going to pay to hear him?
