Guest Landru speaks Posted July 17, 2007 Posted July 17, 2007 N.Y. City is so overcrowded that Bloomberg wants to ban cars from Manhattan, yet Giuliani is on record being for more (legal and illegal) immigration. He actually SUED the federal government when they tried to get a handle on immigration and welfare laws!!! Somebody should tell "Rudy" that this is 2007 and not 1807 when he says: "For the last two years, American immigrants have faced an historic threat. Many of the provisions of the immigration legislation that passed Congress and was signed by the President in 1996, were harsh and unfair to immigrants. Today, although we still have a lot of work to correct the injustice of that legislation, because we've worked so hard together the country has made a great deal of progress from two years ago. They edit and craft the propaganda that they feed the public. Try to find Ron Paul (the only worthwhile republican candidate) in the mainline news. You can't. He is being censored. Quote

Guest chicanohistory@yahoo.com Posted July 18, 2007 Posted July 18, 2007 Ron Paul is a Libertarian (posing as a Republican). Libertarians are notoriously open borders. Agreed. We have to move fast. Notice how Rudy always gives BS answers regarding illegal immigration. He's trying to hide his open borders agenda. Quote

Their "solution" to the illegal alien crisis is simply to legalize all the illegals. Quote

Gibbon & Machiavelli picked up on how the power elite imported cheap labor into Rome from tribes that lacked sound republican traditions. They then supported the campaigns of demagogues pandering to ethnicity and religion of these minorites, who when elected made hidden deals to reward their kingmakers and reduce their taxes. Seeing this, partisanship began replacing comity, each group in the government trying to cash in as much as they can. Machiavelli also noted that when a republic is on the skids, honorable men no longer seek high office. And rather than taxing the people who actually had the money to run the government, they borrowed it. Which worked until some creditor saw that the remaining tax base was too broke to even service the debt much less pay it off. His refusal to lend more started a financial panic. In Rome, when civil unrest resulted and rioters began dragging the bastards out, the remaining rich called in Caesar to restore order. >From Gaul, he had collected the loot to actually pay his soldiers in silver rather than anything like nice lithographs of dead presidents. I dont see any generals back from Iraq with loot, so I dunno who we have today that would be able to stop the effects of a run on the dollar. One of those effects would be massive job losses, and with that demagogues arising to blame minorities. Who, I would therefore advise, to get the fuck out of the country; but they dont even read English, much less my postings. Quote
