I know you're too young to remember but you might try looking it up. We were

engaged with the army of The Peoples Republic of China. Even with a ten to one

kill ratio we would have run out of young men a lot sooner than they would.

 

Do remember that that was a different time. Our military superiority was not

nearly as effective then as it is now. The Russian supplied tanks were superior

to ours and far more numerous. Our air superiority was our only advantage and

most of that was left over from WWII.

 

They damn near defeated our army and had it not been for the Inchon landing,

they might have won. Rather than gearing up for another world war, whose outcome

was uncertain, we entered into an armistice and agreed on the division of Korea

into north and south.

 

We made the right decision.
