John 3:13-15

"13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from

heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted

up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be

lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but

have eternal life."

Note 1: It says the Son of man came down from heaven (as opposed to

beginning at birth).

Note 2: The serpent that was lifted in the wilderness healed and

restored those that looked upon it. Thus, Jesus was putting Himself

on the same level with the same results.

Note 3: Jesus makes it clearer by saying that Eternal Life comes upon

those that believe in Himself. What prophet makes salvation dependent

upon themselves....not the Father...not the law...not His teaching but

HIMSELF?
