Guest Sushi Fish Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 your argument is false and falsified, if a small minority of population think otherwise, will it make the rest becomes false? Climate changes every hundred thousand years by itself, but lately, we also change the climate by reducing ozone layer ---> earth becomes hotter. The earth is a "living" thing, it changes, but can't cope with by- products we put out in the air, on the land and water at alarming quick rate. If the vast majority of people believe a incorrect assumption, it does make it true. Science is not based on a 'consensus'. Science is based on facts, experimentation and verifiable data. Actually, many did. Many kings 'knew' he was God incarnate and the center of the universe. Many Churches believed the same thing (and in many societies the Church WAS science). The intelligent astronomers may have known the truth, but if that disagreed with the ruling class/ church at the time, they either kept it to themselves or were labeled 'heretics' & 'blasphemers' and had their funding (or throats) cut. Kinda like today. Don't agree with the political stance, you get your funds cut and are called 'petroleum shills'. Yol Bolsun, Grendel. "Have all the opinions you want. They're free.
