A Christian Tries Islam for 30 Days

The US is at war. Not all muslims are our enemies, but our enemies in this war are muslim. We will stop at nothing to crush all that oppose us. Two countries have already fallen and Iran is next. If they keep their nuclear program, we have justifacation to strip them of it. If they feel threatened enough to lash out and attack us, a horde of american youth will jump at the chance to enlist and crush Iran. The media tries to out distance between extremeists and muslims, but they try to cover up the truth of the matter. Islam is the root of the problem in the middle east.

Jenn BTW, you're only contradicting yourself...
1. You're accusing the religion when you just said it didn't matter.

2. Only a small percentage are extremists, you're basically seeing all this through the media that wants our Image ****** up.

3. You're a Muslim because you follow the Qur'an, not anything else, therefore the true Muslims would do what I have stated from the Quran... So obviously the terrorists are NOT.
1. I wasn't necessarily targeting Islam - I don't like religion in general. That's why I put "(your)" in parentheses.

I have NO CLUE how you see my quotes as being contradictory. You are constantly misreading/misunderstanding everything I say.

Allow me to rephrase. It's irrelevant if religion has good intent - people still do wrong in the name of it, that's why the existance of religion sucks.

If you still find that hypocritical, get back to your ESL classes.

2. Yes, only a small percentage are extremists. But when it's the fastest growing religion, that SORTA scares me, eh? I'm scared of any extremist, they don't necessarily have to be muslim, but that seems to be the pick of the day. Because extremists, whether you like it or not, still represent your religion. And it only takes one extremist to kill dozens, hundreds, or thousands of people.

3. I don't think you're entitled to decide who is or isn't a Muslim. I'll say again - there are extremists in any faith. They consider themselves Muslim. It matters **** all if you think they're a true muslim or not. Besides, religious text is SO open to interpretation that you can't consider your beliefs THE interpretation. For example, why do you think there's so many different denominations of Christianity? It's because they interpret their holy book differently. They're all Christian, but they interpret it differently.

Thats some nice name calling! I can tell that you're American just because when you know you're wrong, you don't like to admit it, and you start things like teasing and name calling...
Blah blah blah. You keep trying to define things. What a muslim is. What an American is. Good grief - you gotta give up, man!

I can tell you're a Canadian because you're a dipshit little twerp that has **** poor retorts with a dash who thinks they know all about religion.

Damnit...

wait.....

is Canadian

:(

See my point? I'm not like you - and I'm Canadian. You can't call our dear Snafu an American based upon the ignorance-based stereotype of what Americans are.

American Ignorance can be stereo typed... Just like Muslims according to many of your friends. BUT, If that was completely true, why would I be here. I am pinning a claim on Snafu, not generalizing... I would have generalize if I said all American's were ignorant. Just like all Muslims follow the same evil "cult" and what not... It just doesn't work.

When did I define what a Muslim was ??

This was simply talking about the Qur'an. 9/10, anti-Islamic debators use the same ****...

And no Snafu, those marks we're purely based on the fact that I wrote a great piece that brought insight to many open minded people. And it's ironic how I lost 3% for some spelling errors... Ah well figures, according to Jenn, I need to go back to ESL.

Yet thats not my point, you can't interpret love as hate? Meaning you cannot interpret something from the Qur'an thats totally irrelevant to it's meaning, terrorists do it, and Islamophobics do it to things like Jihad and Muslims. They want to win this war, and we do too, I don't understand the concept behind scolding all these Muslims, I could careless, IF THEY WEREN'T AT WAR AND KILLING INNOCENTS, just for scolding me... Because I know that many generations have been through the same system and the same ****, so I am here trying to stop it... You see, I think it was NazzNegg who had told me to round up a bunch of sunnah/moderates and go stop terrorism...

1. I am currently doing so... Just in a unique way. I try to educate people on it at http://www.islamicity.com... I also have been to many Muslim anti-terrorism and anti-war protests, I have lead one in Toronto with some friends before.

2. We CAN'T stop them by force, unless we join the Military. But mass killing of our own people isn't our goal.

3. I am trying to stop terrorism by any means possible... However I am unfortunatley cut short... I have few resources myself.

4. I have been scaled to writing, talking, debates, and educating to a certain extent.

Now, on the extremists. I don't see how they represent our religion... Shall we blame the Germans for Hitler's (One person like you said) extremism ?? And he slaughtered MILLIONS. People have done horrible wrong in many religions, races, etc... THE KKK for example, shall we take into account their actions, and blame all the white people in America ?? DOING SO WOULD BE WRONG AND THERES ABSOLUTELY NO LOGIC TOO IT.

If interpretation was so different, not that it is not, but if it was at the extent on how you said it "is", than there would be no Millions of Muslims a day attending Mecca or even living together... They're all practising the same book, they all pray the same, perhaps not wishing for the same things to happen, how ever in a GENERAL SENSE, the moderate Muslims which account for a full BILLION and about a fourth more of the one and a half billion Muslims, all share a common intrest - Islam.

It matters **** all if you think they're a true muslim or not.
But I am simply doing as most americans want me to... ROOT OUT EVIL!! How do I do it!! EXPLAIN TO PEOPLE THAT ISLAM ISN'T EVIL BY SEPERATING THE TWO, AND DENOUNCING TERRORISM ESPECIALLY!!!

So, I'm quite lazy, and thus won't reply to your whole statement. I'd just like to say, don't mistake me for someone who's anti-Islam (which, by the way, is DIFFERENT from islamophobia) and someone who's anti-organized religion.

I don't like any religion. This isn't about targeting your Qur'an, or your practices. This is about me saying religion (par example, Islam) sucks because there's extremism in the name of it.

But for last statemtn (the one in capitals) - you're right. Technically Islam isn't evil. Religion is evil, though. And so are the people that follow it (especially the thumpers and extremists).

Agreed. Religions like Christianity, Judiasm, and Islam aren't evil, they're only what you make it to be, from what is given. :)

Actually all the German people were punished because of Hitler, and still being punished today, being German automatically makes you a **** in most peoples minds.
Yep, I was at the icehouse yesterday slugging down some brew when somebody walked in the bar and said he was German. We beat the living **** out of him. Sadly, I am deaf in my right ear and we later discovered he was telling me his name was Herman. Ah..it was fun anyhow.

Unfortunately you will not be able to stop the more radical elements of Islam with anything other then deadly force. They have been indoctrinated, educated and raised in an environment of hate and death, they have been programmed that only the world of Islam is real, any news etc.. from the outside is a lie and not to be believed. You will not reason with them, you will not communicate with them, you can only hope to eliminate them before they eliminate you.
You speak Farsi don’t you? Or Arabic? I hear the good guys are looking for as many translators as possible, also I hear that the good guys back in the middle east are also looking for people to fill any number of government positions etc…bottom line you cant make a difference over here, you will have to get in the mud at some point if you are serious.

LOL I really have to laugh at this one because any non-white person out there honestly believes that all white people are prejudice, rednecks, hill-billys, cant dance, got short ***** you name it, any stereotypical thing you can think of is assigned to the white race by most if not all non-whites. All the problems in the world are because of the white race, didn’t you know that?
Well I haven't thought of translation, but I am volunteering at the local police station, teaching them on how to identify the Arabic language... Perhaps, after I finish my major in Political Science, *** willing, I can do something of that sort in the government. Nothing like framing anyone, more so like an Arab co-respondent or diplomat try to make a difference. Thats been my career goal, really. My mom and step-father, borth currently working at the supreme court of Canada in Ottawa, are somewhat pressuring me into trying out the Military, as they could really use Arabic speakers. I would very much like that... 1. It's a great experience. 2. I get to travel. 3. Univeristy is paid for. 4. I get to make a difference. I wouldn't be surprised if I ended enlisting anyway... Infact, I would be surprised if I didn't. I am already signed up for the Canadian version of the ROTC this summer.

Not in Canada? Well not in my city exleast. Also, when I travel to places like Manhatten, I notice quite the opposite.
