from lpprojekt: (http://www.lpprojekt.com/forum/one-step-closer-edge-i-t2140.html)

it's 2am and I could type all this out but im tired so here:

---------

BREAK!...My wrist? Well that's what happened to Chester last night in Melbourne. Five songs into the show, during "Papercut", Chester went to jump off the stairs, and his foot got caught, and he fell straight back, landing on his wrist, breaking it. But in true rock and roll fashion, even in incredible pain, got some ice and a bandage, and went back out and finished the set! Said Mike of Chester finishing the set, "Well if its broken, its going to be just as broken in an hour as it is now."

As one fan in the front row yelled, "That's ****** rock and roll!"

Check out the footage on

Get well Chester!

my followup:

so did they not do shadow of the day at that show?

it sucks *** that they just released the video for SOTD and they can't do it live with chester on guitar because of this LOL. I hope they still do it and sample his guitar part because that'd SUCK if they stopped playing their new single.

I Hope he gets better for whatever exclusive LPU only show is next week in LA. if its LP unplugged or something it'll suck if he's in a cast.

haha chester

"in true rock and roll fashion"

****, thats a real blow, but im sure chester can keep going, i mean all he does is jump around and sing, prolly means he wont jump around as much, but it would still be an entertaining tour regardless, well lets hope its not too bad

Yeah it sux that he broke his wrist, although i went to the Adelaide show they did "the day after the Melbourne one" on the 16th of October in Australia and it was the best show ive ever seen!!!!

so did they not do shadow of the day at that show?
they did first show tho... but not at the 2nd show... but who cares.. they included all the sound effects and all for the songs at the 2nd show.. (for example... Somewhere I Belong started with the intro bit from the album at the 2nd show.. but it didn't at the first... It was a guitar / drum intro.
But yeah... I was right up the front on the side where he broke his wrist... poor chester.. but the crowed and I kept him strong... I was the loudest in the pit... everyone could hear me from the other side of the arena.. I was just so loud.. everyone kept commenting on how they were so amazed I could contain my voice that loud for both shows. But when Mike said.. "We would like to play some more music for you guys.. that ok?" something like that anyway... I yelled out "You guys can do that anytime!!!" and everyone started laughing with me. :) Best 2 nights of my life!

Best 2 nights of my life!
Ditto mate! I was at the very first show of the tour, in Auckland, New Zealand. Best night of my life, no exceptions, at all.

Poor Chaz. Good man for not letting the fans down and carrying on the show though! He could still do his thing (jumping around like a madman and such).

I'm also proud of his vocal performance!!! It was also damned good (which it isnt always unfortunatly)
His screams were great at the Sunday show. I was surprised at how good he was. And we got the full length scream on Given Up which was ******* awesome.
