Ours is rainier.
Besides, even though both our countries collaborated in the precipitating
event (the Oil Bubble, engineered from New York by way of Atlanta amd
implemented through ICE in London), it was our quarter-century of
destruction of our own economy (non-enforcement of the anti-trust laws,
unrequited "insurance-industry" price-gouging, "out-sourcing" of
manufacturing and manufacturing jobs and State and Federal income-tax
revenues from them, importation of illegal immigrant labor to drive the
value of "service-sector" labor further down, allowing of the making
and the "securitization" of and subsequent bubble-blowing and -busting in
"sub-prime mortgages", etc.) that set the stage for this Great Depression
(the only thing that's kept things from collapsing entirely in the
fashion of the 1930s is that the looters of our country left FDIC, which
guarantees banks against failure, alone, since after repealing
Glass-Steagle in '99 they can use bank-depositors'-monies to play the
stock-, bond- and commodities-markets, and when they run them dry FDIC
fills their coffers back up again and protects them from depositors'
lawsuits, a nice investment-position indeed.
Get with the program!
