Haha. It's not easy going enough for ya like that modern rock stuff?
I would love to see what kind of reactions would be on your face when listening to the albums Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished and Hear Comes The Indian. And even Sung Tongs and Feels. Strawberry Jam is their most realized pop album. Feels is also but to a smaller and more atmospheric extent.
Anyhow, I understand your situation. I would be like that if I was listening to the likes of Breaking Benjamin and Trivium. It's a huge jump up in the musical spectrum. In fact, Animal Collective is in a whole other stratosphere in terms of creativity and brilliant songwriting. Brilliant music isn't allowed on the radio these days. It's been like that for a very long time now. And that's why it's hard for alot of you folks to open up to more creative and complex music. You don't hear it unless you shut of the radio and tv and look elsewhere.
Sorry for the tangent. So sad you disapprove of AC Stllmn8j.

Anyhow.........based on the reactions I'm seeing all over the net, this album should garnish alot of high critical marks and probably top alot of year end lists along with Panda Bear's "Person Pitch". But then again AC has always gotten high marks. I still expect Rolling Stone to give their usual average AC review, but that's because they don't like great music and don't "really listen". They half listen because they don't get paid off by the label to post a positive review.
