That's not fair that your parents won't let you be in a band just because you're Indian!! Do you mean like Indian from India or like American Indian? Even so, just prove to them that you can do it and try to see why they have a problem with it and convince them that it doesn't matter or somethin.

Suck up to your parents and do everything they tell you to do, plus more lol. Usually works for me! Or go for the guilt trip "Mum! I've done all of my homework, I get good grades, I did my chores, I help around the house, I help you, I'm not a bad person doing drugs or smoking. Whyyy can't I be in this band?!?!?! Are you punishing me because... *Start to cry*" lol. Good luck o_0

hey guys, thanks for posting and all but i failed, guess thats life and for some of the questions asked before: My paretns are like true indians: always telling me not to forget my heritage, i'm form northern india andum............yea my sis gets watever she wants too, no expectiations from her but my burden is loaded with pressure.

no band.........forget it, thanks for your suggestions anyways.

Wow, I've never met an Indian here (in US) that was all rock and wanted to be in a band. That's awesome. You can still go for your dream, keep practicing and when you're out of their house, you can do whatever you want.
