I don't mind people from other countries, its interesting to hear about how the same issues are dealt with in other countries. Unless of course your Muslim, I don't care to hear what you have to say, I don't care about your peoples struggles or how your really peaceful.I also don't care to read about anyones religion, people who come on here and go on about the Bible or whatever religion, annoy this **** out of me personally. I of course don't presume to speak for everyone, only myself. I have heard it all, its all bullshit. If we wanted religion, would we be on a blog or posibly at church.
I think the sad acts that come on here and talk about religion think they are going to get an extra star in their crown if they can bring one of to ***.
Wow, thanks for letting us "foreigners" post on this obviously American board. We appreciate it
What's your problems with Muslims, by the way? The moderate/secular Muslims actually ARE peaceful, it's only the extremists who deliberately misinterpret the Koran and use it as an excuse to be violent and hateful. And please remember that all religions have extremist factions, not just Islam.
However, I agree that all religions are ridiculously anachronistic and inconsisent. People should be good of their own volition - not just because they have a selfish fear of going to '****' hanging over their heads.
For anyone from Austrailia, I am curious how your country is coping with some of the same issues that we have in the US.
1. Do you have a problem with *** offenders, are they released to early and do they re-offend? What restrictions are placed on them after release?
2. What is the state of the policitical system there? Do you feel its running well or are changes needed.
3. How has the terrorist attack changed things in your country?
4. In the US I beleive we have a problem with the government playing our Mother, trying to edit things like what I can watch on my own ****** TV, or what the content of my video games are. Do you have a similar problem?
5. How are smokers treated in Austrailia? Is smoking not allowed in some areas??
6. I'm really curious about your countries response to natural disasters that their citizens suffer. One can only assume it can't be as bad as ours...
Cool questions.
1. Oh yes we do. Especially in NSW (where I live) over the past few years we've had an alarming number of gang rapes, for some reason. Mostly perpetrated by Lebanese gangs, and most recently, some Pakistani brothers. I don't know why this is happening, but I often daydream about learning several martial arts (including practical weapons handling) and putting together a secret squad of people who hide throughout Sydney and wait, then jump out and castrate these evil ugly bastards before they get a chance to shove their disgusting hideous penises into yet another poor unwilling girl.
2. It's awful. We've had the same fear mongering, fat cat sucking, smirking ******* making the decisions for the last 10 years. He has driven this country into the ground and ruined pretty much everything that used to make Australia great (we were fair, honest, and happy, and the world seemed to like us). What's worse is, he has openly lied to people and unfortunately most Australians are so ******* stupid and trusting that they BELIEVE it. Especially our poor migrants. They don't understand how full of **** he is. So they vote for him, and then they (and their small business) get ****** over and over and over again. Grargh.
3. It has enabled our sneaky lying government to introduce all sorts of creepy new laws (much like your heinous Patriot Act) and **** all over the people, who are of course, scared. It's pretty much exactly what's happening over in the USA, except on a smaller scale.
4. Not yet. YET.
5. There is no smoking inside public areas, and there are designated smoking areas in pubs. Though, that's not a bad thing. Smoking is gross. I should know, I used to do it myself.
6. Unfortunately, we kind of put you to shame there. During Hurricane Tracy up in Darwin, everyone was safely evacuated within the first few days. Also, we were one of the first countries to help out during the Tsunami. Generally, our response is fairly quick. However, I heard that we aren't helping out as much as we could in Pakistan and Kashmir right now, so ... nobody's perfect.
Regardless, I'm voting for the Greens in the next election.
And you should just vote for Hillary in 2008, eh?
While the UN summit was going on New York, filled with world leaders achieving approximately SQUAT, She and Bill were across town holding their own little meeting, wherein they managed to secure so much pledge money - and they aren't even running the country (yet).
So, if she shows that much dedication now, I don't think she'll do anything to make you ashamed later on.
Sorry about the plug, though. I couldn't resist.
