Well, so, this is my first thread in this forum, you know, after or before, I have to release myself and I've thought that this one will be a good opportunity... Nowadays we have lots of song to choose and so many versions of them... what do you think of these versions? Well, I know it, and I understand there are opinions as different about this topic as colours you can see along your life... many weeks ago I listened something that it makes me feel depressive (well, maybe I've exaggerated a little bit... but not too much) I listened "Back in Black" from AC/DC (I love this band) but singing by Shakira   :'(

But, you know... this a case (soo sad) but I've got here another example that... well, listen it and tell me what you think about it.

Listen the first link: is the original song. I dont know if you've heard it before, but here is a very famous song. it's called "Hijo de la luna" (The moon's son). The band is Mecano.

and now, listen the version... I'll be honest, and although for some guys the first one is insurmountable... I dont know what to think.

Hahahaha... yeah, I know it: this one is quite a little bit stronger. This a spanish metal band called Stravaganzza. They quite new but they're getting lot of sucess... look at the dancers... Oh, my ***... when I look at them, I see myself!! XDD

@I've put two vid of Strava 'cos maybe you cant listen very well the first one, and believe, if you want to enjoy this song you've to listen it loudly!! Enjoy it!!

Everyone knows hurt by Johnny Cash > Hurt by NIN
yeah a ton

"Behind Blue Eyes" - Limp Bizkit > The Who

"Land Of Confusion" I like better by Disturbed

Linkin Park plays "Wish" a 100 times better than NIN

*note I don't like NIN

I totally disagree! I hated that whole DJ part which took the place of the bridge...killed the song...

And are we basically talking about covers? I had posted a thread about Covers before

Another Brick In The Wall

I won't say Korn's version was better (I love both version) but it was neat since it was like a different element to the song.

Faith - Limp Bizkit (Original is a top ten gay song)

Limp Bizkit is too funny of a band, so they can get away with their closet fetish.

Limp Bizkit confuse me, with the album title 'Results May Vary' it mislead me into thinking the album would be stunningly inconsistent..... I was wrong, it is the most consistent album I have ever heard i my life, anyone who says anything different is totally wrong! I have heard albums from Radiohead, Modest Mouse, Sigur Ros, Neutral Milk Hotel & Sonic Youth yet none have been nearly as consistent as Results May Vary...... Yea it may of been consistently the worst song I have ever heard in my life every track but yah know =D

Yeah RMV Sucked! I remember when I liked LB. Only good album they ever did was The Unquestionable Truth Part 1. It was an EP but it had 6 kick *** rap-rock (not nu-metal) songs and 1 odd singing song. Three Dollar Bill was okay but TUTP1 was only really good thing.

They had a full album of instrumentals recorded according to Wes Borland,But Durst would only do vocals for 6 of them....otherwise it was their best album

talking about Metallica... you know (well, I think so) that there is a another new version of "Nothing Else Matters" (I've said " another new" 'cosI think this song is one of the compositions with lots of versions from different bands... have you heard Apocalyptica's version!! lovely!!) and the last version is this one which was made it by Lucie Silvas.... what do you think of this? I've had a chat with some friends and they think that is terrible; an offense or something like this against Metallica... well, from my point of view, I think they've exaggerated a little bit  ... I think Lucie Silvas's version isnt too bad.. you know, a light version, but nice one.

Oh, yes, you're alright. This version is pretty nice!! I've listened it thousands and thousands of times, although it's obvious when this band was the first one my father showed me... he has been my teacher in my rock and heavy metal's lessons along this nice years :D (THANKS DAD!! XD)

Gary Jule's version of Mad World was much better then the original by Tear's for Fears.

The TFF version's music didn't suit the lyrics.
