Does a woman really need a man?

Aaaaaaaah, OK. Now I see that this is just your schtick. It'd be better if you said "Commies" instead of Socialists, though. Harkens back to great Cold War movies.

Women got the vote in 1920---12 years later the great socialist state.

All I gotta say, is if a woman doesn't feel she needs a man, then she can count her self out of history. In Lethalfind's case, it would be no big deal, but unfortunately, her daughter may carry on her legacy of stupidity, perhaps we may get lucky, and little Diana will be sterile, but either way. From a mental standpoint, I think a woman can get by without a man, but I think from a human standpoint, even if a female is a lesbian, she can't be responsible for any outcome of the future of mankind but for only a generation.

A girl, like say Mellissa, or Lethal, can live their lives single, raise their kids on their own, and say something like "My kid is the only thing important in my life" which may hold true. But this importance in your life would never have been there if it wasn't for a man. So even if the man has no part of their lives, they still indirectly, needed that man to help fulfill their lives with the child they have.

But hey, what if neither got knocked up ?? Would they still claim to not need a man ?? My money says that their opinions would differ no matter how much they deny that, that would be the case.

So your saying that if MM and I had not gotten pregnant and had to raise a child on our own, we would have been more likely to want/need a man in our lives?

I can't say I argue with that assessment. I think being a single parent has opened my eyes up to what I am capable of doing if I have to. I never pictured myself in this position, I always pictured the story book life but life doesn't always follow that fantasy, so you as a single parent do what you have to do. It changes you, makes you stronger.

When you are a single woman with a child (and actually give a damn about your child) you look at any perspective man in your life with the thought of how is he going to treat my child, another mans child. Thats just one more thing to worry about when looking for a mate.

Yes, I did need a man to get pregnant, no arguement there but anyone with children, men or women realize how small a part in having and raising children, the actual conception is.

Lesbians can adopt or one of them can be artifically inseminated. The 'need' for men is slowly becoming obsolete.

However, I think most straight women will agree with me when I say we never really 'need' a man, or men in general.

But we do want them, and a lot of the time that wanting is fairly intense and can feel like need.

Plus life would be very boring without the sexiness and the fun men bring to the world. But I'm ovulating at the moment so I may change my mind about this statement next week.

You learn something new everyday.

I always thought that the expression was created for the sole purpose of describing the one constant in your posts, Phreak :p

By the way, I only mentioned ovulating because it explains my sudden warmth of feeling towards men in general. I'm so over it now. (Thanks, Builder)

Sperm only has 4 calories a shot, and it's high in protein. Great for those girls who are trying to watch their figure.
