The Ring isnt that scary for me since I watched it like a billion times. I would have to say The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was the scariest it had all that blood and stuff and it was jumpy it was also a true story.
Yeah The Ring wasn't scary at all for me. I saw The Ring 2 and that movie was totally gay (in my opinion). I didn't get it. I saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre... Its really gory. The worst part in the movie was when the chainsaw dude cut the guys leg off then put salt on it! Ouch...

Well to appreciate a scary movie, you must first realize that its not all about the pop ups. good plot, character development, and originality sometimes acheive greater heights then just a pointless pop up.

i prefer movies that leave a psychological impact. it doesnt scare me while im watching it, but it hits me the first time im alone in the dark after seeing the movie. i like dealing with the unseen. looking at the closet where the evil MIGHT come out of is a greater rush then seeing the evil come out of the closet imo.

but i still fall for the classics: evil dead, nightmate on elm st, red rose, the exorcist (wasnt really scary but i keep seeing the devils face), the stand and so on and so forth ive seen way to many

heh heh does shaun of the dead count

M. Night Shamalan(sp?) is a good director. There was this documentary on him on some channle it showed that he had connection with "the other side" it was kinda freaky. He makes good scary movies like "The Sixth Sence".

28 Days Later - That movie started off really good.. but it like.. turned into a family road trip gone bad.. I didn't like the fact that they had left in a car... and shopped at a store.... and... ya... Army Dudes? Did not like it at all.

The Grudge - I have not seen this movie, but from what I have heard it is pretty creepy with a TERRIBLE plot line though.. but then again.. doesn't most scary movies have bad plot lines?...
