Well to appreciate a scary movie, you must first realize that its not all about the pop ups. good plot, character development, and originality sometimes acheive greater heights then just a pointless pop up.
i prefer movies that leave a psychological impact. it doesnt scare me while im watching it, but it hits me the first time im alone in the dark after seeing the movie. i like dealing with the unseen. looking at the closet where the evil MIGHT come out of is a greater rush then seeing the evil come out of the closet imo.
but i still fall for the classics: evil dead, nightmate on elm st, red rose, the exorcist (wasnt really scary but i keep seeing the devils face), the stand and so on and so forth ive seen way to many
heh heh does shaun of the dead count
