Latin America is a region that has largely been ignored by Washington for quite some time. Bill Clinton wasn't all that popular with our neighbors to the south. And while there was a glimmer of hope for George Bush, September 11th pretty much changed everything .. including a focus on rebuilding relations with Latin America. And when it comes to Barack Obama, they are hoping to capitalize on his star-power, play into his leftist sympathies, and emphasize his weakness on the world stage. This is the America they have been waiting for.

The little summit they held in Trinidad and Tobago was an all around *****-fest and Obama just sat there, all full of himself, and took it like a new inmate. First off, the President of Bolivia Evo Morales accused the US of a plot to assassinate him. Then you have socialist slugger Hugo the Horrible asserts that there is more democracy in Cuba than in the US (Which the US is not actually a democracy, but that's another argument.). Then Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega blames the US of the plight of Latin America after this little diatribe Obama thanked Ortega for not blaming him personally for said atrocities.

Motherfukkers.

So what can we conclude from all of this? This was nothing more than a political photo-op for Latin American leaders, and a chance for them to roast America for their perceived history of neglect and abuse. I say photo-op because Barack Obama is extremely popular with the Latin American people. That's why these Latin American leaders made a point to deride America, but not Obama .. they know that having Obama on their side will only boost their own popularity. He is a ****, folks. He is being used to boost personal popularity. Meanwhile, Obama's "listen and learn" approach gives them the luxury to hate on America in a way that makes them look stronger and America weaker.

Then why attend the summit if not to appease a rabble of tyrants bent on pointing fingers at the U.S.?

I realize that we have to because of our allies in the region, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, et.al., but should the assumed leader of the free world sit there, smile for the cameras, and take it from demagoguery?

Why not? What's he got to prove? What's wrong with appeasing people? Should he have launched into some demagoguery about The US being the worlds savior, or else?

Don't forget these allies..

What's the matter, wez? Sad that you weren't amongst the rabble to accuse, point fingers, and lampoon the United States?

I say that's why we have so many ******* illegals in America, they ain't coming in from just Mexico!

Americans have no one to blame but themselves for the influx of illegals.

Like they would REALLY have a reason to want to come over if their own countries weren't pillaged by the American economy and imperialistic hand picked governments.

Americans are so **** conceited about themselves, that they think the reason Latinos are crossing over is because America is so **** great.... NOT TRUE. They are crossing over because of the monopoly on their countries resources that America puts stake in.

You think South America, you think, Coffee, bananas, drugs and that's about it. But their is more to it then that. Automatically, if our leader even shakes the hand of another world leader, they are in cahoots with them. I really wish people would quit politicizing the yes "political talks" and understand what is at stake... it has nothing to do with being all buddy buddy with an alleged socialist regime, it's about working together, improving relations so that the other country does well. If others do well, WE as Americans, do well. And as an added plus, the fukkers stay in their own country and quit invading ours.

Listening is an important part of communication. However, at some time it MUST come to speaking in order to become communication.

President Obama's problem is that he LISTENS to people blame America for all their problems, then he SPEAKS the same message.

The Contras may have been funded by America, but they were Nicaraguans that disagreed with the Sandinistas.

Mr. Chavez has insulted OUR President multiple times, and denigrates our country at any given opportunity. Our Presidents reaction is identical to the bullied that buddy up to the bullies. Our President "listens" and then AGREES.

I belive Chavez would have offered me a copy of Eduardo Galeano's The Open Veins of Latin America; Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent.

That's not even close to being the truth. Like when he was over in Europe, he talked about our flaws, but then he also talked about how the perception of us as Americans is wrong, the only thing is, Faux news cut out that part and edited the entire speech to make it sound like Obama was saying we all sukk. Observe the spin.

Woe is us.. gettin' bullied all over the place we is.. sniff.. sniff.. He actually insulted us??? Get a rope..

Perhaps he agrees with what he agrees with because he agrees with it?

What a novel concept..

Ok... well... we're programmed to dislike France for a reason. It's France you know?

Where is the full footage of Obama's response to Latin American leaders at this summit?

Did Obama stick up for Americans?

Obama can't simply stick for the people he took an oath to protect? He can't just say, "Yes, we have made some mistakes along the way, but you can't blame the United States for ALL the woes of your respective countries."?

Ask yourself why Belize is doing so well. Why did not America them over too? The reason is it was the colonial governments of Spain and Portugal that discouraged competition and property ownership by selling monopoly rights to sales of commodities and huge land grants. Belize, like the US, was an English colony and created conditions that supported growth of a middle-class. What the left refers to as Yankee imperialism is what rational people call trade and fighting the cold war. Obama was quite comfortable amongst his fellow rabid leftists. Like his wife Obama had no respect for America prior to his election.
