what good is virginity? Knowing that your not being labeled as a ***** [even if you've slept with one person. people aren't going to believe that once the person you slept with starts talking], knowing you dont run the risk of gettings AIDS or any other STD, knowing you won't get someone pregnant or become pregnant yourself, knowing your not being used by the person your sleeping with, knowing that you won't ever get that "scare" of being pregnant, knowing that your body is your own, knowing that your in control of yourself, and many other things that have to do with virginity.

Everyone has different views & I can proudly say to my friends who aren't virgins that I am one because I know that they regret all of it. Each of them have lost their virginity and have regretted. How do I know? I'm the one my friends come to when they have problems. I've listened to most all of them cry b/c they've been used, their pregnant, they got someone pregnant, they're scared that they have and STD. I've heard it all and I've been there for them. I wonder how they put up with the stress and think to myself that I dont want any of that. I'm a virgin and I'm going to stay a virgin. I'm in NO rush at all. To you guys who are virgins... be proud of that and dont' rush into anything your not ready for.

That is the last thing I would expect to hear from you. Just because something is not tangible, just because it cannot be used to benefit someone does not mean it is not good.

I do not think virginity is sacred per se, I think it is valuable. I will spare you the after school specials and the cliches about "giving your whole self to your spouse." However, I think it is valuable/special because nowadays people just throw it away.

And by people I mean teenagers. Most adults that make it through their teen years staying a virgin don't end up throwing it away. I cannot fathom the devastation that most of my friends have gone through, just because they decided that virginity is not anything to be careful with.

If you have not figured it out by now, virginity's value is psychological. Read the post above mine if you need a refined definition of that value.

So you wouldn't take any responsibility if you got a girl pregnant? Because that's basically what you said with that post and that's not very 'honourable' of you to say.

Regardless, virginity can be a sensitive topic, since people always have differing opinions. The only way to go about a topic like this is by respecting each one of these opinions, not attacking them.

I don't want to tangle with a life long illness or a poopy daiper, and I think keeping it in your pants is a small price to pay for keeping those things out of my life at the moment.

Unfortunately I was sexually abused for 2 years so I lost it rather early.

But

Im 18 and I lost it (willingly, if i can put it that way) this year. To the most amazing woman ever. First time for me but not for her so yeah it was funny. But it was incredible. She is incredible. Yes I am in love

**** YEAH!! So many years of questioning my own actions, thoughts, life...

Fighting the pain and night terrors all by myself. Because of a family member that obviously had something wrong with him. My mothers father actually. Hardest thing was telling her!!! But she reacted differently to what I thought she would. Nothing like a mothers love. That is the one thing I have learnt! But love is so beautiful, such a pure feeling. That drowns out the bad thoughts on the worst days....

Yeah, I'm a virgin...I'm 17...On one side I want to have *** but on the other not yet...I don't know...my mind is pretty complicated, I must say...

I would like to have *** for the first time with the person I love and I trust...but I kinda know that I would easily lost my virginity with a person that I don't know...I somehow don't really care...Well, I said I'm strange, don't judge me...

And I know that I shouldn't expect perfection for the first time and I don't...Maybe for someone perfection is just being with the person he love and he trust...that is perfection...pleasure is just the bonus, I think...
