From the first moments of an encounter with another person, the narcissist is on the prowl. He collects information with the intention of applying it later to extract narcissistic supply. The more he knows about his potential source of supply - the better able he is to coerce, manipulate, charm, extort or convert it "to the cause". The narcissist does not hesitate to abuse the information he gleaned, regardless of its intimate nature or the circumstances in which he obtained it. This is a powerful tool in his armoury. ~ Sam Vaknin
..you blabbing your personal stuff to me was just a dollar found on the sidewalk, unplanned for but something I put in my pocket for later use if needed. ~ TJ
If all else fails, the narcissist recruits friends, colleagues, mates, family members, the authorities, institutions, neighbors - in short, third parties - to do his bidding. He uses them to cajole, coerce, threaten, stalk, offer, retreat, tempt, convince, harass, communicate and otherwise manipulate his target. He controls these unaware instruments exactly as he plans to control his ultimate prey. He employs the same mechanisms and devices. And he dumps his props unceremoniously when the job is done. ~ Sam Vaknin
On what world do you live? Just because several people may share a similar point or agree on one thing, that does not make them friends or buddies Wez. I agreed with eddo about how you were breaking the rules without penalty on this forum Wez but how does that agreement on one topic mean we were "tight" in your mind? ~ TJ
I don't know, seems to me he tends to be a bit of a control freak. Johny said he found a story about a school stripper suspicious and TJ immediately took it personally and jumped his *** for "questioning his honesty" and bringing his "integrity" into question. The matter was cleared up but I still don't see where TJ admitted he was wrong.. I think he needs help. ~ wez 11-21-2007 9:22 AM
I have no issue with TJ's debate skills. He acts like an adult, provides facts, and doesn't let personal feelings get in the way of a good discussion. He has also been very helpful to newer members who have a hard time getting a hang of this kind of boards features- in oder to help them organize their thoughts in a way that betters the debate. I look forward to future debates with TimesJoke, and am glad that he made it through the junk at GF to find this place. ~ Eddo 11-21-2007, 9:26 AM
agreed. Well said eddo. ~ Brotherman 11-21-2007, 9:37 AM
